There are several remedies for bad breath... 1) like the old saying eat a apple a day keeps the dentist away which is true it works... 2) you can make some peppermint tea and that would help as well 3) here is a remedy for bad breath(i make my own homemade beauty products and im always finding things to make)
in small dish measure 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/2 of sea salt or kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon of powdered allspice and 1/2 teaspoon of ground sage.... sprinkle this well blended mix onto your tooth brush and brush or stir 1 teaspoon into 1 cup of warm water and gargle.
4) eat plenty of veggies and fruit
hope this helps

you must have the tartar which stuck onto the roots of your teeth remove first before any thing natural will work. Brush, floss, scrape your tounge daily. Mouthwash with alcohol can dry out your mouth and cause more odor. One apple or orange a day is as natural as it gets.

Joe - use some peroxide and water - to rinse
listerine is a better mouth wash (if you don't want to gargle just place some on your tooth brush to kill bacteria)
brush your teeth a few times a day - and your tongue.
Use a soft toothbrush - floss -

yes, floss and brush at least once a day. use an antiseptic mouth wash every day too. there are ones out there that don't have alcohol in it. just read the labels.

Like you, I don't like mouthwashes with alcohol, but there are mouthwashes that don't contain alcohol. Rembrandt is one. Also, please see a dentist, who can help you control gingivitis. Take this seriously, because an infection in your mouth can cause problems with your general health, even your heart!
