Serious answers please...
I have been brushing, rinsing with listerine... but there's this foul odor coming from the extraction site. It's still sensitive, so i have just passed the brush there very carefully, and even then i sometimes draw a little blood. I'm very disgusted with my mouth! It smells like something died in there... 3 days ago i went to my dr. to have my stitches removed, and she said everything looked fine, so i don't think it's an infection.
Is it normal for the wound to smell? Does it go away soon?

First I got a small black spot on the left side of my mouth on the gums. I asked the dentist about it but he said just not to worry about it and that it would go away. It hasn't gone away and about two years ago I started dipping snuff.
The other night I put a dip in and my gums started stinging where I put the tobacco. I looked in the mirror and my gums have receeded quite a bit.
The black spot appeared before I began dipping so why do I have it? Do you think the tobacco is responsible for my gum recession? I should go to a dentist but I can't because I no longer have insurance.

the pain is mainly in my jaw tho, and radiates to my ear. ive been taking anti-b's as precautionary measure as have a heart murmur so dont think it can be an infection. My partner seems to think i may have a broken, or very badly bruised jaw. its still very swollen. it really hurts to talk or eat and so im still on a liquid diet. Is this normal or not?

last week I was having a filling done and they ended up having to pull the tooth - and I didn't seem anxious or anything - afterwards I got very shaky after the tooth was pulled, and then they gave me some glucose and I started to improve, and then I had grape juice and was doing good enough to go home. Is it just because I hadn't eaten in a while or was it something else? thanks

I do cases in the O.R and my O.R. assistant seem to have lost a high-speed handpiece which will cost me over $800.00 to replace. Is it fair to take it out of her pay? I don't think I will do it though, I just want to get some opinions. I am also planning to fire her for other reasons, can anyone give me an advice on how to fire her safely? (I already gave her two warnings)

I got my tooth pulled today because it has been causing me MAJOR pain and was infected. Well I have more than one cavity but I'm getting root canal's for the other one's. The dentist just wanted to get the one that was causing pain out right away. However I'm not sure if he got the right one. Even though the tooth is gone, I'm still having pain. Is this normal, will it go away? or is it possible he pulled the wrong cavity?

Oh yea, I just got my teeth pulled about 2 hour's ago. Thank's!

I have an appointment with my dentist tomorrow, but I didn't clear it with my boss to leave early- it usually isn't a problem. Now, of course, I see I am scheduled for a meeting when I wanted to leave. Should I call in saying it is a dental emergency like a broken tooth? I do have a toothache, but my boss is the type to tell you to come in anyway, she doesn't have anyone to fill in for you (even though she can always find SOMEONE). Anyway, I need a good plausible tooth excuse to make my need to be out of the office more urgent. Any ideas?

I have dry socket and the dentist gave me gauze to put over the socket for the weekend. It i a small piece with medicine on it. Last night, when I brushed my teeth, even though I avoided the area, it came loose. I put it back, but this morning while I was eating, I noticed I swallowed it. This leaves the socket exposed obviously and since it is so early, I cannot get into the dentist for another few hours. I am worried this may cause problems since I was supposed to keep the gauze on until I went back in this afternoon to have it changed.

For those who do not understand what dry socket is, it is not the same thing as the gauze when you first have your teeth pulled. It is meant to be left in place for a few days. I will call the dentist when his office opens in a few hours, but I am worried until then.

I smoked a bit of salvia about 1 week ago, and some other herb 2 weeks ago, prior to that, 2 months before I smoked some salvia, but I was not a hardcore smoker...

Is it likely the Dentists will know what I have smoked, or can they tell that I have smoked even with such Limited use.

Also, Are they legally resposible for telling parents. If so I will admit what I do, however, Not dealing with parents down my back would be more preferable.
