See if you can get a referral to a paediatric dentist. My daughter was 4 when we were referred to one because my dentist wouldn't fill teeth on someone so young. My daughter's dentist is wonderful and does everything to make her feel comfortable. when I mentioned she was nervous about the needle, he gave her "goofy gas" (nitrous oxide) to help her calm down. I'm surprised the dentist went ahead and treated your daughter when it is obvious she was distraught. If she's forced to undergo the treatment when she's upset, it is just going to make things worse and chances are she will never get over the fear.

You should see a pediatric dentist. They are more experienced with children and their anxiety issues.
Please, never restrain a child during a dental procedure. A child needs to feel some control over their own body - and this is for their own good. If a child says "no", adults should respect that unless it is a life-threatening situation. There are many ways to treat tooth decay without forcing a child to submit.
Sedation dentistry may be a good option for your child. Find a dentist who is experienced in administration or these medications. Never make a big deal out of dental visits such as: "Don't worry, Honey. It will be OK. We'll buy you treats after."
"What's so bad they need to buy me treats?"
Your attitude is the most important thing in how she responds. If you are aprehensive, she will be. Show her how easy it is for you to get your teeth fixed. Let her see how relaxed you are, even looking forward to it. Your child will take cues from you!

Obvoiusly, your daughter is SCARED of the dentist. When I was young, there was something about the smell of their clinics that gave me the chills. You should explain to your daughter what the dentist is, what he/she is suppoed to do and what will happen if she doesn't see one for her cavities. Make her understand that the dentist is "on her side". Then, set up a meeting for your daughter and the dentist. He/she can explain the basics of dental care the way a 5yr old can understand. If you think she feels at ease, you can make a deal. Like agree to take her to the beach if she agrees to have her teeth fixed. =)

Crowding the teeth is undesirable information for her later progression. I definitely have had teeth pulled below nitrous, and it does kill the soreness. you experience no longer something. The dentist can administration the quantity properly adequate, extra suited than you're able to do once you're in simple terms using it for exciting or in spite of. My 5 year previous is having his molars are available too, yet they are no longer crowding something so they are able to stay. in the event that they have been inflicting a subject however, i could pass forward and get the artwork carried out.

You need to go to the doctor and explain the problem to him so that he can prescribe her a mild sedative. Before you fill it, call your dentist to make sure it is ok for her to be on whatever medication the doctor gives you and still receive Novocain. Good luck.
