My braces are causing my mouth to get a really bad sore. It was just now bleeding. I have the wax to put over the bracket in case you get a sore but it just won't heal. What should I do?

Hi! I had my wisdom teeth taken out on Wednesday (they were still in the gum, so the dentist said that it was good that it was early).

Anyway, where the teeth used to be, there are stitches, but it keeps bleeding this weird gel blood thing. This morning, I woke up to find this huge glop of it about half the size of a ping pong ball. While that cleared most of it, it keeps coming back. Every time it loosens in my mouth and I spit it out, the gel blood thing keeps forming.

What is it, and how do I make it so that it doesn't keep growing (I don't mind it there too much, but it bothers me how it spreads to over my molars)?

When I was a kid, my family never had extra money for anything, and we didn't have insurance, so I never saw a dentist until I was in my mid 20's.

I'm 36 now and have several missing teeth, just molars, on the top and bottom on both sides.
They've rotted out years ago and eventually broke apart and fell out. But the roots are still in my gums...just the crowns of the teeth are gone.

My question is, is there a type of dental bridge that a dentist could fit my mouth with to fill in the spaces where the missing teeth are, even though the roots are still deep in my gums? Or would they have to somehow pull out the roots?

It really hurts to eat anything crunchy like tacos, or chips because I end up biting them with my gums, where the tooth should be and that hurts.

I got a mouthwash , it says you should wash your mouth before every brushing, that makes 3-4 times a day. On the other hand, I've heard there are some useful bacteria in mouth which are killed by mouthwash luquids. Are mouthwash liquids good at all? How often should I use them?

Anyway it doesnt hurt-however it still has some of the teeth next to it like it was a double tooth and its brown and looks rotten! Up above where it broke off I have a bit of swelling. Do I need to have the tooth pulled? How long can I wait and how much does it cost?

She lives in Newton, IL (62448) and can't find anyone who will do dentist work on her with medicaid. She lives in a small town and can't find a dentist or eye doctor that accepts medicaid. Where can she find a provider listing? Like I said it's small town and her caseworker is useless, he doesn't know. He's the only caseworker in the town.

She has worked her entire life, and is now in the end stages of cancer, and can't work, and isn't old enough to be eligible for medicare, so she is on medicaid.

She has very bad teeth and want's to just get them all pulled.

I have been having mouth pain that hurts one entire side of my mouth. Advil and Orjel didn't touch the pain. Cold packs were helping for a bit, but then stopped. I started using a hot compress but it didn't help much either. I saw the dentist today and he says the teeth are fine and there are no abcesses. He thinks it could be inflammed gums. His suggestion was to rinse with Listerine a few times a day and that should take care of it in a few days. He also gave me Tylenol3 for the pain in the meantime.

Does this seem about right? Anyone else go through this? This seems like SO MUCH pain for a little inflammed tissue.

My lower front gum area feels uncomfortable but when I use my tongue to push against the tooth and the gum area or when I use a floss and push down hard on the gums, it feels so much better. What can be the problem? I had the same problem 2wks earlier on the tooth next to the problemed one.

got a consultation. quoted $5995. was told the price was based on total time, & not broken down by top & bottom. top set would be for 10-12 months & the lower set would be for about 5. includes 1 consultation per month & 2 trays per month. also includes a whitening. the doc made it sound like that was a bonus just thrown. seems kinda pricey to me, but i can spread it out across 18 months (interest free) so seriously considering it but wondering if it's like 1 of those things i can shop around for or if it's standard pricing so don't bother. is it more expensive just cuz i live in nyc (not like going across state lines every other wk is an option)? just curious. thx for any feedback.

My husband has horrible teeth, I guess it just runs in his family... They are literally rotting and falling out and he is only 24. It's so sad to see. He's been talking to dentists all over town trying to see what can be done for them. He knows he will have to get a lot of them pulled so he isn't bothered by infections and either get replacements put in for a while or get dentures. How much would something like this cost? We have a baby on the way and seeing as its the holidays money is tight. Help!
