Hey, Congrats!!!
I had mine taken off a month ago. It is so quick and easy, most importantly pain free!!! All they do is take a plier to the bracket, apply some pressure and a small twist....voila!!! Do that for all the teeth and your braceless....they don' even take out the wire!!!! Hope this helps...and good luck. Don't 4get to wear your retainer

The actual removal of the braces do not hurt, however if the professional is not skilled in removing the adhesive that holds the brackets on the teeth, that tends to be a little uncomfortable. I would suggest taking some ibuprofen about an hour before your appointment to minimize your discomfort. I hope this helps. Sincerely, a former metal mouth :o)

Didn't hurt when I got mine off. I just felt a scrape and a tug on my teeth. Oh, but there is that horrific grinding sound.

taking the rings (the metal ring around your molars in the back) off yes, but its fast, other than that no! :)

Not from what I can remember, but that was almost 20 years ago.

no, it actually feels like a relief to finally get them off.. you might feel slightly uncomfortable, but not actually hurt.
