My husband has horrible teeth, I guess it just runs in his family... They are literally rotting and falling out and he is only 24. It's so sad to see. He's been talking to dentists all over town trying to see what can be done for them. He knows he will have to get a lot of them pulled so he isn't bothered by infections and either get replacements put in for a while or get dentures. How much would something like this cost? We have a baby on the way and seeing as its the holidays money is tight. Help!

WOW!!!! That's a tough one!
Rotting teeth are infections that can run rampant throughout the body. Even though hubby is only 24 this can take him down faster than anything you've ever seen.

So, first step is to get all infection under control with extractions and/or tooth repair. Handle the emergency level first and then you can make a plan for replacements and/or dentures.

Best of luck to you and the family!!!!

HELLO,

FIRST LET ME SAY THAT THIS DILEMMA IS BAD, BUT NOT HORRID.
YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE. THE BEST PREDICTOR OF FUTURE BEHAVIOR/RESULTS IS THE PAST.
IF THINGS WERE BAD BEFORE, THEY WILL BE BAD AGAIN.
THIS BEING SO, THE CONSEQUENCE OF ROTTING TEETH AND DENTAL INFECTION IN THE MOUTH WILL SEVERELY AFFECT HUBBY'S HEALTH.
YOU ARE EXPECTING A BABY, AND THAT'S GREAT! CONGRATULATIONS.
YOUR BABY NEEDS TO HAVE A HEALTHY FATHER.
COMPLETE DENTURES ARE THE WISEST CHOICE AT THIS POINT. ARRAGEMENTS FOR THIS SHOULD BE MADE.
THE WAY TO FIND OUT THE COST IS TO CALL THE DENTIST AND ASK WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF DOING A FULL MOUTH EXTRACTION AND IMMEDIATE DENTURES. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW BABY.

Bad teeth don't run in the family but poor dental hygiene might. Your husband's dental situation, if not treated now, can & will cause him some serious problems down the road. Trust me, I know. My fiance's son is in the same boat, only money isn't a problem, because my fiance has offered to pay for the dental work. His son is just scared & now, his teeth are rotten & falling out as well. Bad teeth can causes boils, bad infections, poor digestion, etc. I realize that money may be tight but where there's a will, there's a way.

it will cost a fairly large amount.
however, try to see that he has good habits so as to stop further decay and more problems.
