My braces are causing my mouth to get a really bad sore. It was just now bleeding. I have the wax to put over the bracket in case you get a sore but it just won't heal. What should I do?

Use some warm salt water several times a day letting it wash the sore area. Keep some wax on the band or bracket that the tissue rest against. Try not to push or rub your face, pushing the sore area against the braces. Sometimes you will rub your cheek or lip area, pushing against the braces causing even more trauma to the tissue. The warm salt water rinses will help tremendously. Ask your parent for Motrin or Advil for dental pain. Give your self time, it will heal.

I was at the dentist yesterday. A little bleeding is normal after a tighten or the first time you get braces. And the wax is not to heal. It just soothes. I would advise you to rinse with 3part warm water and 1 part salt. And then put a little wax where it hurts. Then call your dentist.

You should really try and contact your orthodontist or at least schedule an appointment with your regular dentist, they might be able to help. I hope this advice helps,

I had braces twice, I remember that I got sores from my braces. You can make appointment to see your dentist,that your braces are giving you bad sores. Here is information on Braces. Good Luck!

You need to put some oragel on it to numb the pain and then call your orthodontist.
