I figured since this is where the parents are you guys might know more than people without kids. I am going crazy trying to find wholesale gymboree kids clothes. Does anyone know of where I could find these or even if you have some you want to sell to me. I do not have any outlets here where I live either.

I have a 15 year old daughter and both my husband and I starting to get concerned about her behavior. We can't get her to take care of herself, like brushing her teeth, wash her face, brush her hair...can't get her to go hang out with friends, or attempt at making new ones...can't get her to do anything around the house, all she does is sit and watch TV. When it comes to school she struggles in every class with the exception of PE. She's constantly lying to us about everything, from homework to simple questions. She wants to get her drivers permit soon and I don't see that happening at all. We are just so worried because she lacks responsibility and maturity. We’ve tried giving her responsibility but it doesn't work, she blows it off and we get upset. It's like she just doesn't care!! We've taken things away from her when she's does something bad and have told her she has to show responsibility to us before we let her have her permit and so on. Will she ever grow up, be responsible?

No one would just walk up to an adult and start touching them. Do people people view children as if they have no personal rights? I understand why some people do it, as in the case of elderly ladies and motherly types, but that still doesn't make it okay. I haven't been able to successfully make it through the grocery store without someone grabbing my infant daughter or toddler son. Who knows what people have been doing with their hands! The people who reak of cigarrette smoke and have nicotine stained hands infuriate me. And then if you say anything to them, you are the one who is being rude and you receive dirty looks. What happened to common sense?

My 4 year old will turn 5 on April 4th. He is off from school for spring break so i have him taking a nap from 1-3 with the younger to. He hates it, of course and really fights it, but he gets really irritable and cranky just before dinner and especially at around 6 if i dont make him sleep. Is he to old to take a nap?

My partner and would both love nothing more than to start a family together. 2 years ago we bought our first house and our mortgage payments are really high. If i became pregnant there is no way i could give up work as with a mortgage and other debts it wouldnt be possible. I am a traditionalist and would love to be at home for my family but thats not going to happen and as i dont have family around to help with looking after my child it only leavs me with one other option and that is to find a child minder. The cost of this is not cheap approx £175-£300 per week per child. I am aware that you are able to claim working tax credits to help with these costs. I went onto their website and completed a simple online form to see roughly what benifits i could get to help with the costs and it came out to £40 per week. I was hoping that it would totally cover the costs otherwise we couldnt afford to start a family. any advise please???????

Although her looks are not perfect by anymeans, at what age should I suggest and pay for her plastic surgery? There are so many things I would like to have done with her. The one daughter has such a good heart but, her inside does not match her outside at all and I need to change that.

I went to college (paid for by my father), but wasted my time. I am fine now and have no regrets. I was wondering how many people plan for this even if they dont know if their child wants to go or will do well.My attitude is if they want it bad enough, they will make sure they go themselves through scolarships, grants and financial aid.

Take the store Wal-Mart for example, when you shop in the baby/toddler section for clothing are the sizes 4T and 5T the same as the sizes XS, 4 and 5 in the "girls" section? If not, what is the difference?

My girls are almost ages 4 and 3 and are very tall!!! It's hard to find shirts long enough in the arm and torso when buying clothing in 4T in the baby/toddler section, I didn't know if it's time to jump to the "girls" sizes.

Thanks for your help! :)

Do they forget that when they were youung, their parents cared for them, and when they need it the most, the kids just sorta throw it away...and live with this fact? Why?

Here (In pakistan) There's no such concept.. Older people live with children, and as they get old they get more respected... I don't understand this custom of the west... Please explain

What is it that you are feeling? Do you feel threatened by their relationship, feel that your daughter loves you less, or will forget about you?
Do you continue to give unsolicited advice, even if you have been told it's not welcome.
Are you judgmental?
Is there anything your daughter can say to make you believe that she still loves you, and that she needs you to be loving and supportive more than ever?

I am 5'8'' and my wife is 5'5''. We recently had a baby boy who is now 7mo old and is at ~85%tile for height/age, where he has been the majority of the last 3mo. This basically means that out of 100 children his age only about 15 would be taller than him. I know that there is a formula that uses a variation of the average of the heights of the mother and the father. This makes sense, but probably doesn't take into account genetic information skipping generations or nutritional factors, both of which could have quite a strong impact on growth. Has anyone else had a child taller than their parents by a reasonably large degree? What have others' experienced with their children with respect to height comparisons with them?

Thanks for your info and God Bless!
