am making a DVD for my family for Christmas.. it's a slideshow of pictures of my kids over the last year, and I'm going to back it with music. The problem is that I don't know what music I want to put it too. I made one last year and used all the nice songs that I had for that one. And I can't think of anything that will work...

It's going to be of my boys who are 1 and 4.. any suggestions for some appropriate songs?

He just turned one and he is healthy, and we show him tons of love. It seems he is spoiled though, he crys non stop sometimes. Do you think we should just let him cry, or pick him up everytime, because it seems he wants to be held. What ways should we break him of this habbit.

I often hear this cheap talk from politicians and other "policy makers". Yet they don't have the guts to legislate mandatory seat belts for school buses (where 17,000 children are injured each year - most injuries due to the lack of restraining belts) or provide adequate healthcare for low to middle income children. Am I the only one who cringes when I hear such doublespeak in the media?

I keep seeing places online where people are trashing Wal-Mart and telling people not to shop there, because they are greedy and only have their own interest at heart. I live in a small, rural area, so it is not like I have a huge selection for places to shop. We don't have a Target, K-Mart, Cosco, or any of those type places. It is either Wal-Mart or Brookshires (a grocery store) and Brookshires doesn't have clothes, automotive, crafts and stuff like that, plus they are alot more expensive than Wal-Mart. Plus, I just like Wal-Mart.

I am just curious what the big issue against Wal-Mart is all about. I have never really had a problem with them personally.

Alot of people these days disagree with spanking their kids. Their excuse is always something along the lines of "you should respect your kids and not hit them". A few minutes ago I saw a question on here (the one about being beat with a belt) and alot of people answered that they got beat and spanked and NONE of them ever said "it sucked..I wish my parents would have respected me!" They were all thankful they got it because they knew they wouldn't have turned out as well as they did without it.

So my question is for the parents who don't spank: Obviously kids who were spanked didn't turn out bad and obviously they were thankful their parents disciplined them the way they did, that being said how come you still don't spank?

Or even going there to play during the day without you.
What ages do you think are ok for a sleepover at their friends house?
But what I really want to know is; how much do you want to know about the people before you let you kids go home with them? And do you then relax? Or do you still worry something may happen to your child? Or am I paranoid?????????

step son to be? He just turned 3 at the beginning of November and he still will not go to sleep at his normal bedtime which is 8.When we put him in his room he will cry and cry laying by the door for over an hour. He will not go to sleep when he needs to he thinks he needs to stay up all hours of the night. I know leaving him in there is a good thing so that he learns but he is 3 years old. Shouldn't he know better by now? I am so sick of waking up every hr because he does and starts crying and I get up at 4 every day to get ready for work. I am always so exhausted! So what should I do?
