Not so long ago, I had an "always smiling" "happy go lucky" little boy. Now all I see is a stressed out, child with a bad attitude and an even worse temper. He is constantly complaining of a stomache ache and migraines, to the point where weve rushed him to the ER numerous times. I know he is truly in pain because the pain wakes him at night, but nothing has been found. He does very well as far as his grades in school, but he doesnt get along well with a few children in his class. He doesnt seem to care for his teacher either, but he still seems to enjoy school. At home he cries over little things, and shows serious anger toward his younger brothers. No matter how my husband and I try to handle it, it isnt changing. We have our special day each week, when we do something that he wants to do, with no siblings around. We have him in soccer to build self esteem, but to no avail. In Feb. we start therapy. What can we do til then to help him become a happy child? Why is he so angry?

I have 2 children and need to find a baby sitter. The whole thought of it freaks me out though. Ive heard so many horror stories. Relying on our parents is really getting old. I dont need an all day thing, just a few hours here and there. Ive asked some parents at my son's preschool but havent gotten any leads. Any suggestions?

My children live with their father and he has moved in with his new friend that he has only known for about 2 or 3 months. He says I should not be concerned cause he will let nothing happen to our boys. My issue is I don't know the friend and he doesn't know that much about her to answer my questions except that she is very scary and timid. I think I have a right to meet this friend and express my feelings of concern about my children to her. Am I wrong?

My middle son is will be turning 6 next week. He has told me who he wants and dont want at his party. One big problem. The little girl he doesn't want here...they have grown up together over the past 5 yrs. They are 2 months apart. I don't know how to tell her parents that he doesnt want her at his party but he still wants her parents to show up..... Here is why, the kids both started Kindergarten this year. Well, someone at the school decided to put the 2 in the same class. This little girl is VERY controlling of my son. I have been babysitting her for about a year also and I have had to tell her parents that if the dicipline issues dont get fixed, she cant come back. I know my son is tired of being around her all the time.. and just pretty much tired of her crap. How in the world do I tell these people, who have been in his life from day one... that he doesnt want 1 of the 3 of them at his party? I don't want to be mean... Thanks for all your advice. I sure need it.

I have a 21 year old adopted daughter. We adopted her at age 10 along with her 9 year old brother. They were in the foster care & were abandoned by birth family. We hoped that our love and compassion would fill the empty hole in her heart. She has been a problem since we got her, in trouble at school, dropped out in 10th grade and arrested twice for underage drinking. We have provided years of counseling and medication for ADHD and borderline Personality disorder. She will not work, sleeps all day goes out with anyone she can meet on myspace, comes home high and drunk and wakes her Dad and I in the middle of night when she knows we have to work during the day. We had given her several warnings in writing that if she continued her behavior we would have to kick her out. We finally did it 2 weeks ago and took her to an extended stay motel, we have paid the bill and brought her food. She still refuses to work or help herself. She will not enter any program. Should we cut her off?

About 8 weeks ago my wife and I had our third child. The first two are currently 4 1/2 and 20 months. The problem is that I don't feel as attached to my newborn as I do the other two children. With my first two children I was smitten from day 1 and would do anything to help with them or take care of them. With this new baby I don't feel the same way and often find myself blaming him for problems in our life. I didn't really want a third child, but we have him now so there isn't much I can do about that. How can I go about changing my feelings for him?

My stepdaughter lives with my husband and myself and her mother lives 3 hours away. We have physical custody and they share joint custody. My stepdaughter needs to go in for her 6 month dental checkup and her mother insists that she get pulled out of school to see the dentist where she lives. Logic says that she should be established with a dentist in the area where she lives. The crazy woman is refusing to release the x-rays to the dentist we have chosen. What do we need to do to have these x-rays released?

My little girl is 6. She asked me to go in the bathroom with her the other day, she told me that she had white stuff in her 'mary', ( she means her vagina ) When I had a look she had a white mucus / dis-charge there. It isn't enough to stain her underwear, as it does when you are older.....but this has really worried me. She is the first girl in a long line of boys in the family, so I am not familiar with girls growing up!

Can someone tell me if this is normal for girls of this age or should I take her to the doctors.....there was no irritation or any thing like that.

Serious answers only pls

My baby was born just the other day. I am unable to breast feed due to a nasty softball accident three years ago where my breast fell off sliding into second base. When I asked my doctor about feeding my newborn formula, he told me that formula would not be necessary, just stop by McDonalds and feed her a parfait. Is this ok to feed a newborn? Help please!!

They say that having a child can make you want to change your whole life, within an instant. I dont have any kids of my own, but i think i do understand that feeling..but im just wondering...is this feeling you get only quite this strong when it comes to your own children or do you think it is possible to feel all the things like, wanting to be a better person, wanting to set an example for your younger siblings just as strong?

i have a 4 yr old boy and a 2 yr old girl they are both well mannered good natured honest and polite children individually but together they hit eachother not hard and not with spite or anger but frustration i think. The 4 yr old more so than the 2 yr old (i think she just copies him). he will take her toys off her for no reason and push her out the way if he needs to get past they ALWAYS say sorry with a kiss and a hug afterwards but i was just wondering if anyone knows how i could stop them turning on eachother as much and start playing together a bit more as i want to teach them love and respect for their siblings before they get any older and the job becomes a bit harder

any suggestions would be garatefully recieved
thanks in advance xxx
