My kids have become very picky eaters recently, every night i try and get them to eat their turkey twizzlers, chicken nuggets, walls balls, waffles, smiley faces etc etc, but will they eat it? Will they hell, all i hear from them is - I want vegetables, I want salad, please can we have some baked fish? You know who I blame for this, Jamie bloody Oliver, my kids were doing just fine before he came along with his silly ideas, they even asked me if they could have fruit salad insteaed of skittles the other day????? I just dont understand it

Just the other day when I dished up another gourmet serving of meatballs (you know the ones in a tin) the little tykes turned their noses up at it! I even discovered a stash of banana skins in their school bags, as you can imagine I was livid. To top it all, when they came home from school I heard that they've only gone and swapped their Frazzles and 54321's for bananas and apples. That bloody lispy big haired tw@ has got a lot to answer for!

I remember when I was a kid, I used to spend my time outdoors playing in the dirt, eating grass and frying ants with a magnifying glass. Do kids do this now ? No they don't. All I hear is "Don't let me play in the dirt mummy, I'll develop asthma", "Don't make me eat the grass mummy, I'll surely develop a peanut allergy", "Don't make me fry the ants mummy, I really don't want to develop ADHD".

Kids these days eh... Don't know they're born !

Try bribing them with gifts if they will try them. Don't try to rush them. Also try introducing the food with things they are familiar with. You can easily disguise a turkey twizzler with a couple of lettuce leaves. It takes time and patience but I am sure they will come around to proper eating.

I can not belive people take stuff so seriously! Your question is hilarious! I wish it was true with regards to my son though, all he seems to want is nuggets and stuff and most of the time I am too tired to argue. Yes Jamie Oliver, you would call me a tosser!

When my daughter refused to eat Pot Noodle, I simply prepared it as per instructions and poured the contents into a large Oriental Bowl, convincing her they were fresh, home made noodles! Worked a treat. She now works in KFC, I'm so proud.

Fantastic question.

You have seen the bit where Jamie shows the kids what goes into turkey twizlers and you still want to feed this to them?

Where did I leave the number for Social Services?
