I have three wonderful kids, but they lie. They lie about the stupid things. For example. my 13yr old daughter and my 4 yr old son are the worst, my son judt came running out of my daughters room screaming, frantically yelling "she hit me", so i ask her did you hit him "no, he must have ran into the couch"...... So I don't know who to believe, basically this stuff happens between them two all the time, everyday, several times a day.

I have tried asking my six year old what happened and she will lie for which ever one is her friend that day, She was in the bedroom for the recent incident and she claims he ran into the couch also, but she wasn't even in the room were it happened.

So you see my problem. I have tried scaring them to stop, taking stuff from them, putting them in their rooms, I am all out of ideas. Please help, I am sooooo despirate!!!!!!!!!

I am asking these questions for my brother... He has a three and 1/2 year old who is pretty much potty trained execpt for going poo. He wants to know how he can get his child to go poo on the potty...Also he has a very disrepectful twelve year old child, and though I won't go into full detail, this child has a bad mouth. My brother does moster timeouts and a bunch of other techniques, but nothing seems to work. How can my brother get this tweleve year old to stop being sooo disrespectful? Please don't answer the question if your answer is to hit, spank, or smack...

I share custody of my daughter and at her mothers house stepdad takes her stepsisters door down as punishment. This is not his child either and she is 13years old. When asked what J did to get her door down, my daughters says nothing. There is obvious tention between the two and they just fight all the time. Concerned by this I asked my daughter does he do this to you. No because she just can't ever shut her door. Basically an 11year old and 13 year old live with biological mom, Step dad and his two younger children and have NO privacy. Is this abuse?

My son's father has not had any contact with me since I was 4 months pregnate, by his own choice. He has no idea when my son was born or even what his name is. He is not even on the birth certificate because state law mandates that the father be present to have his name on the birth certificate. I would like to patition the courts for formal custody, just in case his father ever decides to track me down. But I am not 100% sure he is the father and I know the courts will want a fathers name and they will seek a paturnity test if I am not positive on who the father is. My major problem is the other possible father know the man who I'm pretty sure is my son's father. I was in contact with him awhile back but he made no effort to help pay for a paturnity test and didn't want to see my son unless he knew for sure that he was the father. SO how do I get formal custody from the courts without the potencial daddies finding out. #1 is a druggie and alcoholic #2 is a good guy and a great father.

My 7 y.o. daughter told me that 3 girls wanted to fight her. I told my daughter that she has my permission to defend herself and she was more worried about being sent to the office. I think that the way the school system deals with children fighting needs to be reviewed and changed.
I went through all the proper channels, I told the bus driver about it (everyone rides the same bus and one of the girls sits in the same seat as my daughter) and I also informed my daughter's counselor at school. I was told that the situation would be taken care of but if one of the girls hit my daughter, I should tell her to tell the bus driver or the teacher. I told them that I want my daughter to defend herself and all they could say was that she would get in trouble as well.
My problem with that is this, if I am telling you ahead of time what is going on and even after a peer mediation these girls are still picking on my child, why can't she defend herself?
