YUCK! I wouldnt let my daughter play with them at all! They are too provacative. They are NOT marketed to teens either, what 16 year old do you know that watches cartoons still? Kid toys are not supposed to be sexy! Even Barbie is a ridiculous standard of beauty. Give your little girl some art supplies if you want her to explore her creative side

I have a theory that they're an alien conspericy.
Seriously. Click on the following links.
Look at the alien Grey.
Look at the Supermodel.
Look at the Bratz Doll.
The large eyes, the big lips, the over-sized head, the spindly little bodies --
Clearly, the Bratz are an alien-supermodel hybrid, and the dolls are merely forerunners to prepare us for the onslaught of alien-supermodel children that we will be seeing very soon.
But if they're what your niece is into, hey, be happy. Easy Christmas present.

I don't like them at all, and I won't buy them for my daughter. They are like the "slutty" version of Barbie. Just stick with Barbie and Disney Princess, etc. In my opinion, the Bratz dolls are not a good influence and should be avoided!! Don't our girls have enough trouble without their toys giving them the wrong ideas?!

I thoroughly agree. And now Mattel is doing their perfect to modify the Barbie line to copy and compete with the attractiveness of Bratz. an finished era of skanks are being raised and that's disgusting. it form of appears like we are preparation our females to artwork the corners from an early age. Even the kind for women is getting more and more revealing. do not get me incorrect, I actually have actively participated in shows like Rocky Horror so it isn't me being a prude. that's only a disgusting style in our a growing to be form of public lifestyle. a minimum of the former Barbies had physician and legal professional differences for a touch bit function modeling...

I think they are TOO sassy and provocative for the girls they are aimed at. I had a 4 years old BEGGING me for a bratz doll. She just skipped over Barbie and went straight to sarcastic hoochie-ville. I see my daughter as a lady and would want her playing with dolls that reflected how I want her to carry herself.

have any of you ever actually read a bratz book or seen a bratz movie? i doubt it. they actually have very good lessons in them about friendship, sharing, etc. My girls play with them, and i have no problem with it. not sure if you've seen Barbie bling bling, but she has LESS clothes on than the bratz. just b/c they play with something doesnt make them into it either. IMO the parents instill the values and morals, not toys and television. My mother let me watch horror movies when i was a little girl (always something i liked, still do) and i'm not out murdering people, kwim?

I hate those Bratz. I wouldnt buy my daughter any. Does she like Barbie? Or maybe one of those games she can hook up to the tv where she can pretend to go shopping, or put her pic on the tv and give herself a new hairstyle or something like that. I bought one of those for my friends 10 and 8 year old daughters and they loved it.

I personally like Barbie better but my eight year old likes Bratz and I have purchased her a few of them. Technically they are just toys but for some reason they just look "sexier" than barbie, if that's an appropriate term to use. She doesn't play with them anymore than she does Barbie, I just think she just wanted them b/c everyone else has them. You know how kids are, they just want to fit in with their peers.

Don't buy one. Just like Barbie dolls set up an unrealistic and untrue standard of beauty, "Bratz" dolls set up an unrealistic and horrible standard of what is okay for, not even teens, but little girls. Just the name is bad enough to shun it out, but of course, they have to portray their characters as prostitutes. The only kind of person I think would really enjoy a prostitute doll is probably soem sleazy middle aged man.

I got my 11yrs sister bratz dolls, I think they are fine. Barbie wore clothes just as sexy if not sexier. Yes they wear micro mini's and thongs but the dolls are suppose to be teenagers not girls and teenagers as well as adults wear thongs and micro mini's. Well I don't know any teen's who wear micro mini's but I see them on the way home from work.
