I'm writing an article on this matter and would love to talk with moms who have outside hobbies and interests and why it's important to them. Please let me know what you think.

How many of you would punish ur 15 year old son with the belt and 2 weeks grounding and banning from computer and tv for this?

I tryed to talk them out of it but knew it was pointless - they had made up their minds. But they asked me to go help them get through it and I did. This has happened like 5 times, some still call me crying because of the guilt, even though it was years ago, which makes me even more against it.

My question is, am I a hypocrate for driving them home and supporting them emotionally afterwards? I love them, but hate what they did.

I'm on day three of being alone with my kids (I have 2 ages 1 1/2 and 2 1/2). Their father is staying at his father's for a while due to a new job. For the next month, 2 months maybe I will be here with the kids and only going up to see him on weekends, then the girls and I will move there. Anyways, all I have heard since I got off of work is " I WANT MY DADDY!!!!!!" I called and he's not off from work yet. How can I do this? Any suggestions?

I saw this show about the astonishing number of sexual offenders in this country. It spoke about how offenders blend into our community and they are always looking for another victim. I have 2 boys and it scared me to death I need to find out who they are and were they are and what they look like. I feel that if I know this information my kids will be safer. And I will be doing my job as a parent working to keep them safe.

About the Child's Father, For Example: Would you like him listed as a contact? Women get defesive and basically tell me his history as a bad father or take it personal.

All I want to know is do you want him listed as a Contact it has no bearing on your relationship in my mind, Why do most women react that way? Can you help, so I can understand.

My children's biological mother has a terrible drinking and other personal problems which it seems cause her to avoid being a mother to her two children. Though she is supposed to have them Mon. Wed. and Fri. nights. she usually only has them one, at most two nights a week and makes up a very unbelievable excuse (i.e. a 7:30 p.m. MRI on Friday night? we live in a small town and all dr. offices last appts. are at 4:30). This has gone on for almost two years now and the children are growing up and realizing that I'm not supposed to be picking them up on certain days. They've burst into tears and asked me "why isn't my mother picking me up?" "why doesn't mommy want me?" (asked by the 4 yr old) or "what excuse did my mother make up?" (asked by the 9 year old because she believes what her mother says about as much as we do though we don't tell her that). What do I tell them? They aren't accepting, "I don't know she just can't today."

HELP!!!! My daughters ages 12 and 6 fight and scream at each other all day everyday. It's never ending. Right now they are in the living room fighting over popcorn. I give up. It has gotten to the point that we can't take them any where. The 12 yr old is loud and bossy and the 6 yr old is whinny and sneaky and a tattle tale. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am going to lose my mind. We have done groundings and timeouts etc...

You can praise a child all day every day, but if a parent says something negative once then it seems to be the only thing that the child remembers.
