Because Mom's are only human, and being a parent is a difficult job, and a scary job, and the biggest responsibility ever, and people who are responsible are willing to acknowledge that they don't know all the answers. It's their job to keep you safe and healthy. As a Mom, I know I would die if anything happened to my kids. You could not even begin to understand the feeling you have towards your children. They ask because they care, and they want to do whatever it takes to make sure you're OK.

Because they love their kids so much, they want the best for them. They make sure youre going to the right places, around the right friends, and making sure you dont get caught in unwanted trouble. I thought my mom asked me too many questions, when I was younger, but later on in life, I see she was my best friend, I was protected and warned of stuff that had I snuck or chose to do them, I would have regretted it. Moms are only thinking of the best for their kids, theve been there done that, they know what can happen, even if we dont believe them.

An oldie but goodie... probably because she, like most parents, is concerned about you. The younger years could be considered a mine field, and you the unaware traveler just trying to get through. Your mom has already crossed the field and knows where alot of the mines are (and there are many). She is just trying to show you where all the mines are so you don't blow your foot off! Isn't that considerate of her?! =)

Because she cares about you - because she only wants the best for you - because she doesn't want you to make bad decisions or throw your life away - because she loves you. And maybe she wouldn't have to ask a lot of questions if you just came forward with the truth of what's going on, what you're thinking and what's going on in your life....BUT MOST OF ALL IT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE LOVED!

Outside of loving you and being interested in you as a person?

Because she has a lot invested in you, for one thing, starting with having you take over her body for nine or so months, then going on to taking care of you while you are growing up and vulnerable. Some questions for you to answer isn't so much in comparison.

Moms ask a lot of questions because babies do not come with instruction manual.

Because she wants to find out other parenting ideas and relate them to her questions to do what's best for you! That's her job. To ask questions that way she can find out other ideas other than her own.

She's trying to do a good job. She cares about what goes on in your life and wants to be part of it. Maybe she's afraid you're making bad choices and is helping you make better choices -- or trying to, at least.
