well if you want money for yourself, or to spend money on your date or something like that, then yes, definattly get a job.

Well, no. BUt why would the parents do that? 20 years old, not working? Is this person in college? That's the only reason I can think of as to why a 20 year old shouldn't work.

I think that if you're in school at 20 and you want to live off your parents, that's okay. But you have to realize that at some point, you will need to start supporting yourself. Don't you want to be independent?
If your parents are paying your way through college, that's fine, but if you're not in school and don't have a job... well, then you're just a 20-year-old bum.

Yes, I would work anyway. If my parents still want to give me money then I would put it in a savings account, so when I needed it, it could help me out. No parent is helping a child to be independant by keeping the purse strings attached to their grown child.

My son is 20 and I would prefer that he concentrate on college. He does me a favor by picking up his 6 year old sister from school. So, to me he is helping me save money on child care. My main goal here is to see him finish college 1st.

the only thing worse than a 20 year olds that sponge off their perents is the one that sleeps with him/her, yes I would want to be some one in life.

My parents have already told me that i snt hav to work when im 20 because they have stored up 3.5mil for me when i get to 22 they say just study

yes. sooner or later you need to find out how the world works for yourself. i would want to know what i was getting into for later in life. getting out of college and never having a job even in life would be hard.
