High-end clothes are a waste of money.
My child, however, always does look his best. I don't send him to school in flip-flops and ripped jeans. I buy 90% second-hand. All of his clothes look new. There is no excuse for a child to look poor, even if he is. (and we are).

I get most of my kids clothes second hand. I get quite a bit of "high end" clothing for next to nothing.
I make sure my kids are clean and well dressed.
Im the kind of mum that will make sure my children have food before I eat, go barefoot so they have socks..that kind of thing.
I find it a waste of money to buy clothing at gap or old navy "high end" stores. When I do buy new clothes it is usually for a special event, Or I get the clothes off the discount rack or at a really good sale.
Mostly though I get clothes second hand, given to me or bought at garage sales or thrift stores and when I am done with them I am giving them back so someone else can use them.

I make sure my kids look their best but rarely buy their clothes from high-end department stores. There are parents from their school who buy their children expensive shoes and clothes and 6 months later they don't fit or they are damaged or the child doesn't like it anymore. I prefer to spend my money more wisely and not do that. There are alot of good brands to choose from without the designer label on them.

I agree, High end clothes are a waste of money considering your kids wont wear them for too long. My kids always look nice when they go to school or we go out in public but I buy clothes at a reasonable price. My 9 year old daughters grandmother will buy her $60 jeans only for her to wear them a couple months before she out grows them. Seems pointless to me. I'm pretty sure I would think differently if I had a couple million dollars in the bank... but unfortunately that's not the case.

i dress my toddler in fuctional clothing. Shes wayyyyy to messy to be spending tons of money on her clothes! Most toddlers are this way! jeans and sweatshirts most of the time during fall and winter! who cares is shes messy at home where only i and my husband will see her. IF we got out in public to the store or dinner etc, i make sure she has a clean cute outfit on and her hands face and hair are neat. I dont like grubby looking children in public but i do understand that you cant keep them fresh outta the tub pristine all the time! I buy lot of my daughters nice clothing second hand from an upscale second hand shop. i can get name brands with little wear and tear at the same price as walmart clothing! She has plenty of walmart clothes as well! I believe in dressing your child comfortably and funtionally. why have them in dresses with tights and patent leather shoes when they going to be playing in the sand box or rolling in the grass?

Not all 'high end' clothes look the best. I dress my daughter in clothes I think are cute whether it costs $2 or $20.

Nope. I only get those things off e-bay or at outlets. Kids grow so fast that it isn't worth paying all that money for those clothes and shoes. My kids look nice most of the time, but I usually steer clear of the high end brands.

I don't buy expensive clothes, my mother in law does that for me without asking. I buy really nice looking clothes from walmart or consignment stores. Nobody knows the difference. The clothes I buy are nice brands like old navy, polo, tommy, and many more from consignment stores.

I don't worry about the clothes being high end...I do make sure that he looks good and that everything matches when he goes out. REgular clothes are actually better as they last longer. As long as he lookd good with matching socks I feel better.
