As in spending a small fortune on your children?

Hi, I wonder if it is just me, or are you all noticing day-in/day-out how many people swear in front of their children each day.
I has in a show looking for christmas cards, when a woman behind me said to the shop assistant:"I want some of those f***ing paints, and some f***ing glitter, but only some cheap sh*t." I turned around and the person swearing was a mother with her 2-year-old. I noticed several of those instances in one single day.
What's wrong with people?

Since finding out that both my kids are anaphylactic to peanuts and tree nuts, I've become a little obsessed with this issue.

It really bothers me when I see people bringing nuts or peanut butter in public places like kids playgrounds. I've seen kids eating peanut butter sandwiches at a picninc table with their parents and then they go to play on the playground with my kids. I have no choice but to leave, my kids could have literally died.

Do you agree that peanuts should be banned from all public places? I won't say restaurants, because those of us with allergic kids, know not to go into certain restaurants. I mean from places like movie theatres, playgrounds, theme parks, sporting events. To me it's an issue of social responsibilty.

For those who don't think it should be banned, why not? How do you justify bringing something into a public place that could kill someone if they smell it or accidentally touch it?

I have a very hard time when my husband disciplines my three year old daughter. We have never spanked or hit, but i still feel sooooo sad when my husband talks to her in a stern voice because she often cries. Please keep in mind that he never says anything cruel or degrading in any way to her. He just speaks loud and i feel like he's scaring her. Sometimes i go and pick her up and he sayd it's absolutely the worst thing that i could do when he's in the midddle of talking to her.

A guy who I'm seeing is going to be a new Dad next month, we have been seeing each other on and off for just over 2 years. His ex gf is going to give birth next month. Reason they split is because he found out she slept with someone else, his ex best mate last year. Thing is, when ever I try and talk to him about the baby, he doesn't really like it and doesn't ever bring it up.. I even bought a present for the baby on thursday, some socks, gloves and a hat and I gave it to him saying it was for the baby and he was like "whats this" and he really didn't looked to pleased, he said he appreciates it but really, it felt more like he wished I didn't... what do you think? I know he must be going through a lot right now and he knows I'm here for him as I have told him, I just thought he would of been a bit more happier about it.

I know of a little girl whose mom is dead and the father adandoned her. She lives with cousins now but they really can't adopt her, eventhough they want to, because they have a very unstable home life. I was wanting to adopt the kid for them that way the little girl didn't have to go to a foster home or someplace worse. I know i'm in the military, but is this a possiblity for me to do and if so, how would i do it?

A single mother of 2 Lil boys is very sick she has battled a tumor on the side of her face since childhood, she has been thru everything to get rid of it only to be told here recently that theres nothing that they can do for her,it has grown roots and it wrapped around nerves, heart, brain, lungs ect....they gave her up to 2 years to live, Just Friday she was told she also has cancer over top of that, and I'm praying for her every day, shes only 30 yrs old. She doesnt ask for anything from anyone, she works 2 jobs and takes care of her children on her own, I just ask kindly from the bottom of your hearts to maybe say a prayer for her to at least be here for christmas this year for her boys, thank you so much .

I found out why she has been unresponsive to mine and my friends sistuation.

She has issues of her own.

My sixteen year old brother's journal "floated" around the house and landed in her lap. She read it and found out he was being molested by my dad. Nobody knew. I think it's been going on for years. I found out this morning as he was carted off to jail.

What would you do to help my brother?

My girlfriend and I have been together for about a year and a half and we have been living together ever sense. We have one child together who is almost 6 month old. I have two children from another relationship who I have visitations with on the weekends. My girlfriend use to love and adore my kids at first but lately within the last few months she has shown and said that she dislikes them but not hate them. The two kids that I have from another relationship are a 2 yr old and a 6 yr old. My 6 year old just got a cell phone from their mother and is on the phone every 10 mins while she is over my house. My girlfriend and I think it is disrespectful and an invasion of privacy. My girlfriend always says that she wishes it was just the three of us...Meaning her, I and our daughter that we have together. She says that she wishes that they were not in the picture. I am a Prince to my girlfriend & I always make her feel special so it is not that she is insecure with our relationship. Help!

I always stay home and MOST teenagers in our city go out all the time to hang with friends etc. I spent the weekend at my families house in sacramento and when i came back my dad says "All you do is go out, youre never home all that youre interested in is going out and not being home". I have never ever went out through out my entire 16 years of life with friends to go out. I dont even have them come over! I dont even TALK ON THE PHONE WITH THEM! Hes always saying that i do this and that, but its always the opposite. He says i spend my money on dumb stuff, I usually some more than half so i can have money when i need it. He says something everyday that gets all of my brothers and sisters so angry but we dont say anything. Does he act like this because my mom isnt living with us anymore? Or because whenever we go out he never goes, he just stays home and watches t.v. My sister and brother are younger than me and we never talk to him. Just once or twice a day were not close AT ALL!
