If you're nearby a major city, try Craigslist.org.
Otherwise, post ads at a local college (if you're willing to shell out a little more money) or high school. Post ads at your church, or any nearby church or synagogue. Start asking your neighbors. Somebody has to have a niece or nephew or cousin or something that is good with kids.

I believe my babysitter. I placed fairly some artwork into searching one. My mom inlaw works for a first help medical business corporation. She resources cabinets and what no longer. She works instantly with all of your first help safe practices operating shoes. So she recommended to us when we were searching that the perfect position to initiate the hunt will be to call up the ability that does each and every of the preparation and note in the adventure that they'd each person sparkling out of the toddler sitter direction. We referred to as the top of the dep. and she or he recommended actually one of her youthful daughters (13yrs previous?). She became going to have her older daughter (18 do it for us) although she already had fairly some shoppers and does no longer have the time. So we interviewed her daughter, she did an really good interest with the children. She does an really good interest in college, she is amazingly talkative and uncomplicated to communicate with, so after seeing those distinct issues we were bought. we were using her for countless years now. although i imagine we purely have one extra 12 months left such as her previously she is going off to college. I also use my brother as he in various of circumstances has days in the course of the week off so it truly works out properly even as our babysitter would no longer be able to make it.

mmm babysitting. put an add in the paper for one then go to the local police offic and ask if you can get back ground checks on them tell the officers why you need this done ( trust me they will understand) if not look in to day cares but rember to ask for the lincens and all the rules of the day care itself ask to view the faclity. and if you child crys or acts differnly infront of the person trust it means bad person a baby or a small child are like anmails they can sence good and bad in people. and go with your gut as well. as a mother of a 5 month old child i only turst very few people to look after her other then myself her father ( hes a soldier) and our famliy. just rember when it comes to the safty of your kid you can never be over protive on it

Ive found referalls to be best. You could also try looking into babysitting classes that are held for kids when they are 12 I think and maybe the teacher could give you a referral or something. Kids always want to babysit and make money.

hey. well first of all, you should try and ask the people that you know. i would never ask a person i didn't know. that would scare me too. for starters i would ask your nieces and nephews either to babysit or ask them to ask their reliable friends. then have them over to watch the kids on day while you are in the house, but doing something else, like laundry, or cleaning. this way you get an idea of their capabilities. hope you find something that works! good luck.

Callyour local HS or Jr College. High schools have childcare programs and so do colleges. Their students make excellent sitters and most schools have a list of available students who want to sit.

you get like 2 or 3 references and call them like someone they have worked for you also get a crimnal background check and a drug test if you are really worried and that is about it i wouldnt choose the first i would make sure to call and ask good questions to the references like was she ever late how did the kids adapt how many did she watch was there any accidents and all or attendence just the stuff you would want to know first.

They only good babysitter is yourself, it's hard to find good babysitters, I wanted to spend time with my newborn daughter and I wanted my son to play with other children, the lady told me about what she does for the child, and I knew she wasn't doing it. I watched closely and she just sat on the couch 97 % of the time. I would ask the woman to follow her closely and see what she does for activities. Look online in you area and see what babysitters are available.
