For the absolute safest product to use around your infant, check out Melaluaca. It's a wonderful company that offers a full line of all natural, all safe products. You can use it around your infant and not have to worry about any chemicals being inhaled or ingested.
By the way, bleach and windex are toxic.

I know how caked-on food can get on highchairs, and you need to go out and buy the Ecover all purpose in the yellow bottle. Pour it in a spray bottle in full concentrate(if its bad) and let it sit for 5 minutes, then wipe clean with a damp warm rag. Voila!

I use Seventh Generation all natural cleaning products; I found it at the grocery store in a white bottle. Also, "Method" brand by Target is a good all natural cleaning product. You could also just use soap and water.

I use lysol wipes to clean my highchair off. I worked in a daycare and we used babywipes to clean the trays and then sprayed them with clorox hard surface spray.

Simple Green. It's biodegradeable since you're into that. I just used any household cleaner that I had... Like Mr. Clean on the seat. I only used dishsoap on the tray. Dishsoap has to be safe, right? I mean, you wash dishes with it, don't you?
