I think we are going down a very dangerous path when we encourage all fathers to be positively involved in their daughters lives, supporting and encouraging them. This world would eb a very sad, unbearable place without strippers and escorts. Maybe we should just be nice to the ugly little girls.

If you want to get your child's portrait taken...would you be interested in a "green screen" studio, where you could insert any background you wanted? How much would you be willing to pay?

Just curious how common that is... obviously parents and their kids are more attracted to dolls of their own race... but maybe not...

My husband has a son from his ex and 2 stepdaughters and is ordered to pay child support for his son. It is taken out of his check and he has visitation every 2 weeks. I dont care about him paying child support. He should. He made a child and he has to take care of it. But his ex gets mad sometimes and wont let the kids come down. They all come. We've taken her to court before and once they gave us custody and we had to go to court again and she promised to let him come down so my husband agreed to let her have him back so he could be with his sisters but I just recently had a baby 4 weeks ago and we havent seen the kids in 6 weeks. She told them they cant come down anymore cause we had our perfect famly and we didnt love them anymore. we have taken her to court and the judge keeps warning her. what should I do?

My daughter is 7 1/2 and most all of the young girls on my dads side of the family started thier periods at age 9, is she too young for me to explain what a period is? I didn't start until I was 12 but I don't want to not tell her in case it happens early, yet I don't want to freak the poor kid out at her age. Any suggestions would be great.

Putting aged and ailing parents in old age home is not a new thing but it has turned into fashion for those who do not want to devote a little time and patience to their ailing and aged parents who devoted their full time and energy to bring up their children. Why the young generation do not think that they will also become old one day and a worse position is in card for them also.It is hightime for the government to pass an enactment binding the children to take care of their parents otherwise adequate punishment provision should be given in the enactment.

For the last 2 years I've battled my ex over my daughter. He doesn't stick to the court ordered vistation. Anything that is ordered in court he thinks is joke. This past month or two has been rough. He's been calling like 50 times aday leaving threatn messages, my daughter is histrical, tonight he called the cops on me. he told them I was abusing my daughter. The cops came didn't find 1 mark on her body. I need him out of her life. He is only do damage to her. I feel I need to take her to therapist for everything but as other things he doesn't pay ordered child support, and I can not afford to take her to a therapist. Can I have his rights terminated or heck even modified would do. Right now he has one weekend a month. I don't know how much lower it can go. But this is emotionally damaging to my daughter and me. I filed papers in san diego, I just filed 2 days ago 2 have the case moved here to where we both live. Can I file an emergancy hearing in fear of my daughters safety?

I just had a baby, and already my mother-in-law is trying to talk me into raising the baby in her religion. Problem is, she knows that I already have a religion and it's almost completely opposite hers. One day she even came through my front door, without knocking and completely unannounced, with the pastor from her church to try to talk me into it as well. She's otherwise a very sweet person, and a great grandmother. But if I just come out and tell her my beliefs and how I want to raise my son, I know she would freak out and be really mad. I've tried politely telling her, but she pretends she didn't hear me and keeps on trying. My husband says he doesn't care what religion our son grows up with. In fact, when his mother was raising him she didn't raise him on these beliefs she's trying to force on my son. He also won't tell her how he feels, he just sits quietly and says nothing, which makes her think I'm forcing him on "my side". And I'm really not! What do I do?!?

I have a 7 year old and a 3 year old. Their Dad walked away from us and is very inconsisant with his contact with them. He doesn't live close to us but he was phoning for a while and then he stopped. This happens a lot and sometimes the kids won't hear from their Dad for 6 months. How do I help my children get through these times. I never say anything negative about their father either. He gave me my children and for that I am grateful. Just because we didn't get along doesn't mean that I don't want him to have contact with his children. But unfortunatly the kind of relationship he is building with his children isn't healthy and has begun to really take a toll on my children. It is so confusing for them. I just want to help them the best I can but I don't know what that is. Any hints out there????

with hold the child from the non-custodial parent due to a broken arm? My step son broke his arm Monday, had a couple pins put in and a splint put on yesterday morning. His mother is denying my husband visitaton for 2 weeks due to the broken arm. However, she is sending him back to daycare where this among many other injurys have occured. Is it wrong of us to assume that it is wrong of her to allow him to go to daycare where he could get hurt but deny us visits where he would be under constant care? Can she legally do this? I asked this question under law and ethics but only recieved one answer. Any help would be appreciated.

South Park is usually making some sort of amusing statement, either political, pop cultural, etc. Was the lice episode referring to a movie or something? It seemed like it must have been, but I couldn't put my finger on it...
WHAT WAS IT MAKING FUN OF?!?!?

My husbands little brother is the kind of boy that goes with the flow. My husband and i try to guide him down the right path by being good examples. His mom has not always been the best example, but is now trying. His grandfather believes there 20 year old cousin does nothing wrong. He has been arrested for assult, assult on a cop, domestic violence, possecion of cocaine, and weed. I found out last weekend he went over there and smoke a "blunt" with him. I was told in confidence, and if I tell his family they will not believe, because he does nothing wrong. My little bros family has a bunch of drug addicts in it, and we just want the best.... What do we do?

Parents that insist on using terms such as "Use you inside voice", "Timeout" and "Outside play". What ever happened to "Quiet down", "Go to your room" and "Playing outside"? It sounds so rediculous to me. Are they trying to get the parent of the year vote? Well, from me they won't. My brother-in-law and his wife use these and similar terms all the time and they sound like such idiots. In my opinion, using terms like that instead of NORMAL terms is a great way to mess your kid up. Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly believe in discipline. I am quite strict myself but I don't sound like a text book when I talk to my daughter. Does this annoy you too or are my wife and I the only ones?

i just read a blog that totally pissed me off! the author wrote that parents who spank their children are no better than the bullies at the playground! i spank my daughter and i'm proud of it! i've never left a mark, never even made her bottom red!! my daughter is polite and well behaved everywhere we go, she answers me the first time i call to her, and she even listens when i tell her to stop doing something(& she's 2!). i can't tell you how many kids i see in stores who are screaming, fighting, tearing things off shelves, and even hitting & cussing out their parents, and all the parents say is 'now don't do that, that's bad....you'll get a timeout......"!! all i can think is "pop his *** and he'll stop that REAL QUICK!!" so i wanted to know.....what do you guys think? (and you "time-out" parents be honest, do your kids act like monsters in stores? do they actually listen the first time you say something, or does it take a few times?)

is it true no kid means hopeless and unhappy?what should Ido
I 43 and my husband 55 married 3 years and no kid.We basicly dont have anything in common but if each respects the other, can still live happily. I dont want kid nor adopt due to physical, mental and financial concerns and our concepts will be very different toward taking care of the kid. I cannot throw away a moldy cutting board,no air con in 90 degree summer. However,he is taught by his family--that no kid no hope and insists and thinks I should either take medicine or surgery to have one.

My boys are 1 and 2 and I would love to be able to get them interacting with other kids their age. I am in the Onsted area but any of the neighboring towns are fine too. If you are a mom in my area and would like to make some new friends contact me. My e-mail is in my profile!

The truth is I HATE children...and as a result I am going to get a vasectomy at age 18, and I currently got my hands on Depo Provera. Does that make me a bad person? Is it bad to hate children, I mean all they do is cry, and crap them selves, and piss me off ALL the time when I am around them! Is there anything positive at all?!?
