The truth is I HATE children...and as a result I am going to get a vasectomy at age 18, and I currently got my hands on Depo Provera. Does that make me a bad person? Is it bad to hate children, I mean all they do is cry, and crap them selves, and piss me off ALL the time when I am around them! Is there anything positive at all?!?

No, you're a good person - not for hating children, but for having the vasectomy. You're the last person who should have a kid. Of course, most of us parents felt something like you do when we were your age, but then we grew up. We were smart enough to know that we were going to grow up. Growing up happens, you know.

I don't know of any reputable physicians who will do a vasectomy at 18. BUT, if you hate children that much I think you should do any future children that you might father a favor and NOT HAVE THEM. You seem incredibly selfish, I'm betting that you don't spend enough time with any women to get them pregnant since they undoubtably have annoying qualities as well.

Remember that you were a baby yourself and your mum cleaned the crap off your butt daily for a good two years. Babies are miraculous...adults are another story.

Whoah, buddy, take a breath! It's OK to not like children, as long as you aren't mean to them. I'm glad you're at least taking precautions NOT to have any. Why are you so angry?I'm just wondering if maybe you had a bad childhood? You don't have to comment, it's just speculation on my part. Hypothetically speaking, It's pretty common for one who had a bad childhood to hate or fear having children, because they feel they wouldn't make a good parent. As for positives, just knowing you created a tiny being from your own body is a miracle in itself!

It's totally different when its your child. When I was 18 I didn't want anything to do with children, as far as I was concerned that where all spoiled brats! Now I have 3 of my own I love them to pieces. I still think that others kids are spoiled brats though!

They give unconditional love, they are little miracles, they are great fun to watch grow up, learn and develop new skills, they do the cutest little things, often at the most unexpected times.
You are describing the first few months, but there is an entire lifetime after that!
