Okay this is the same way the japanese parents do to thier child, parents are good teachers when the child are from the years of 0-5 and moslty are good teachers. But when the child enters school, parents don't teach them anymore unless it's something like a hobby such as violin practices, kendo practice, etc. The school are the teachers now not the parents. Eventhough some of the teachers aren't good or bad at teaching, the child's intelligence are based on how they study on their own. Parents can give little help but the child mustn't rely alot to their parents. This way, the child's intelligence will be challenged and therefore increase their IQ. This is why many asians are smart. The not smart ones are the type who were influenced by their unsmartly friends or they are too lazy to study.

I believe the parents are the best teacher a child could ever had. The first things they learn is from the home. The teachers are only there to teach and not inculcate habits. Sometimes we look up to our parents, so parents should endeavour to be good to the kids. The kids are our future and which we should not toy with. A teacher has about 30 children and one believes that the kids are getting adequate care which is absolute nonsence

Children learn by osmosis from their surroundings.Parents are their first teachers, and in some cases ,best teachers. What you do in every detail,is observed by your child and imitated. When you see your child do something objectionable, take a closer look at what kind of example you are setting. If this seems like an incredible responsibility, you are right. Are parents up to the responsibility? It seems rarely to be the case.Children have BS radar,so if you are asking your child to not do things that you do,they see the hypocrisy, and it speaks much louder than anything you say.If you really want to talk the talk, walk the walk. They are people, younger, smaller, less experienced people, but they become adults eventually. If you would be respected, show respect.

Every person has limited experience in life and the only way to gain knowledge is from a variety of people. I am a teacher yet I would say that I am unable to teach children everything they require in order to get through life. Primary school education is done by one teacher each year teaching every subject, as it is only a basic knowledge. Secondary school is based on teachers for each subject, as one teacher doesn't have the skills to teach every subject. I would have a lot of students failing if I taught Maths so the responsibility is handed to someone else. Unless your parents are people with knowledge and degrees in every field I would say it is pointless in them teaching you. Even teaching right from wrong is a problem as there is so much of a grey area in life that you have to gain the opinions of several people and then come to your own conclusions.

im not quite sure what your question is. Do you mean why are parents not the best teacher of a child? well i think we are, we give our children all the information possible untill the teachers take over and even then we still teach them.

from experience id say parents make the worst teachers cos if theyre anything like me im impatient and i expect the best results straight away, wheras a teacher would be more patient, not judge the child so much if they get things wrong and thus making the child more comfortable with the learnign proccess

Because parents usually see their children as 6 years younger then they are.

They also will lie to the kid and be all lovey dovey saying the fact that they cant say do maths or sports is fine .

Teachers will push them to get the grades or fitness they need to compete after school. To make them strong.

Also teachers are used to the behavour patterns of certain age groups such as say 14-15 year olds.

The parents cant remeber and treats them younger.

this leads to massive emotional problems and pregnancies as the kid aint a kid no more

What exactly are you asking?? I homeschool my children. I realize this is not for everyone. We all need to decide what is best for our children. I am the best teacher for my children. My kindergartner reads at a fourth grade level and tests at a second grade math level. My first grader also reads at a fourth grade level and glides through third grade math. They have a wonderful social life as well. They have many friends that they get together with almost every day. They take piano and play sports. They are perfectly happy children.
