You need to contact your insurance but I don't think you can claim benefits for the baby unless you legally adopt the baby.

it all depends on what state your in.check with your local child support office.I'm from the state of Tennessee and when i was 16 i got pregnant.the father turned into someone i didn't know and turned his back on me.my parents contacted the child support office in our county.after about a couple of months in court,his parents where ordered to pay back child support and future chid support until he turned 18.then it all transfer to him.please don't give up,she didn't get that way by herself and its time these men and boys were made to take care of what they helped create.good luck to y'all and may god bless you and yours.scooter pie

I think doing anything you can to support your daughter is the best you can do. She made a foolish mistake, but she shouldn't have to keep suffering for it. She's going to need all the help she can get.

do you mean insurance or public aid? you can claim neither unless you become legal guardian or adopt the baby. she can go to public aid and public health to help her care for the baby.
