Jobs

There are many ways you can earn money. I babysit and I get paid very well. But I think you have to be 13-14 to start.

My Rates

1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour

*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.

Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!

Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbours that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.

Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash business with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, shovel drive ways in the winter, and help people clean there house that might need help.

If are 14 years or older, you could also work at fast food restaurants, or grocery stores too.

A 12-13 cannot get a job until they are 14 1/2 and then they have to go get papers to work. She could put the word around shes looking for a babysitting job that would be about it. Sorry

Here where I live you can't work until your 15 and a half. Have you tried maybe doing work for your parents for money?? collecting cans found in the street. Why not start a dog washing business of your own? Make up flyers offer to wash someones dog for 10.00. How about pet babysitting, when people go out of town?

She can not get a job with a paycheck. But she can ask neighbors if they need any yard work or possibly theres a vet or animal boarding house near by that might give her a couple dollars to walk dogs. Also she can put up a sign in a public area saying she will clean houses. But before doing any cleaning in a strangers house her parent(s) need to meet whoever employed her. Its not safe for a young girl to be in a strangers house alone.

There's many little 'odd' jobs she can do around her community. Cutting someone's grass, taking their dogs for a walk, helping an elderly person or an overworked mother unload groceries, take out trash, light housework, washing someone's car, etc...Anything that has to do with helping ppl. You'd be suprised at how many ppl are out there that don't mind paying someone to ease a little burden off their shoulders. Plus, she will reap great rewards like new friends, being an outstanding citizen, and a lot of great future references for when she's old enough to get a regular paying job! Just have her and her parents call around to ppl they know-ie: neighbors, friends, church members, family, etc...and let them know she would like to work. The word will spread and soon friends of their friends will be calling! GOOD LUCK!

I was going to say babysitting until I read further. lol Maybe a paper route. At 14 you can get a job at Burger King. For most jobs you need to be 16. You should be enjoying your childhood while you can, not working...:)
