A few weeks ago I was staying over at a male friend's flat, and we've had feelings for each other for ages. We ended up in bed together but it happened so fast I wouldn't sleep with him in case I'd regret it the next day. Instead we just had a wonderful night in each other's arms kissing and he said he wanted to be with me. I said I needed time and space to think about it because I was afraid to commit. He's 12 years older than me and unemployed, which my friends think is a big no-no, but when we're together I feel like we're equals and we get on so well. I'm studying at uni about an hour away from him so after some thought a week later I arranged to meet him and said I'd like to give things a go. He went all quiet and said half of him wanted to but he didn't think it could work- the age difference is too big. If it was such a big issue why did he pursue me in the first place? It's never had any bearing on our friendship. He's also still texting and emailing me quite a bit...

I used to date my ex before splitting up earlier this year.
We used to be very close and spend so much time with each other, that I never found it necessary to meet other people and make new friends.

Now that we’ve split up, I’m having the most difficult time trying to meet new people and make new friends.

Where do I begin?
Where would I find good, wholesome people that I can share my interests and hobbies with?

Everyone here at my place of work, is already married and most of them have kids.

Where would be a good place to find single people that I can just hang out with… and do regular stuff with, like going to the movies, doing lunch and other fun activities?

When me and my partner have a fight, we make up and he doesn’t tend to mention it again…..
NOW I want to talk about it and for him to understand why I feel how I do and why the fight happened.
Why do women always wana talk things out + men just wan2 move on + not mention it again?
** me +my bf had a fight on Friday night about my being controlling….but we made up b4 goin 2sleep…but in the morning I wan2 to talk it over as I felt rubbish bout it…but he didn’t seem to feel the need to talk about it**….the reason I wana talk as we have had a few fights lately and im concerned about his feelings changing, although hes not changed affection wise towards me??
I have never been so scared of losin someone which I why I think I am always seeking reassurance from him, and when we fight I wana make sure he understands why I behaved how I did as I don’t want him to be thinking in his head ‘’this girls nuts I want out of this’’
Can anyone relate to this…men or women?

I found out my wife was having an affair for 2 years with someone who thought she was divorced. She lived two lives and is now with him for good. I havent been single for alot of years and now it's time for me. Where do I start? Never did much but work, but realize it's time to live a little.

Ok this is how it goes. Lets say groups A and B will go to place C. I'm in group A. I have no friends in group A, an outcast you can call it. I have more friends in Group B. I can switch to group B easily, but the problem is when I go there, the people in group A would most likely think even lower of me. Taking that action would worsten my situation in group A. But I have more friends in group B and i would enjoy more there. So what should I do? should I stay in group A and remain as I am without friends and not enjoy, or should I switch to group B and enjoy but taking the risk of worstening the situation in A? Please help me choose. I really like to go to B but I'm afraid of the events that will follow when I eventually return to group A. Note: I can only switch to B temporarily. I will eventually go back to A.

to give a backround, i was in a serious relationship over a year ago. i was torn apart when it ended, i gave my life and soul to this girl and all she did was destroy them. i then started trying to get on with my life, even though i was still in love with her, i was getting on well enough. i dated a few girls after but they were only there because i wanted fun, i had no feelings for them whatsoever. but let me tell you how hard it was to break up with them, they just didnt want to let me go. i had and still do have at least 5 ex lovers that would drop everything to have me back (not that im leading them on they were all aware of the fact that i didnt want a relationship, they just want it) i have however met somone who unbelievably made me happy, i was prepared to let things go naturally and if it turned into a relationship i would put my part in. NOW the Ex who hurt me has begged for forgivness and wants to try again, i still love her i just dont know wat 2 do, what are your thoughts?

My dad is very overprotective over who I should go out with. He says I'm too young, but I'm already 18! My future stepmom says, "She's 18 years old. She can date whoever she wants, when she wants!" Is this normal?

My boyfriend and I were having a conversation tonight about his upcoming trip to NY to come visit me (long distance relationship) and I mentioned that it was smarter to fly and he could just use my old Mercedes to drive around because my dad's getting me a Jag for Christmas. He seemed a little stunned and then acted kind of weird. Normally, this isn't a topic I throw around lightly but we've been dating for a few months and he knows my financial situation. We've discussed it before but he always says he doesn't mind as long as I'm okay with him not having a lot which doesn't bother me in the least. I'm beginning to suspect it bothers him, though. After that, I said, okay, who cares about that, let's change the subject. He said, "Let's talk about Christmas." So I told him what I picked out for his daughter (we both have children) and he laughed and said "Jesus, you're killing me." And then said I needed to go to bed and get some sleep. Which he NEVER does. So what's the deal?

I went out with my friends this saturday and she went out with hers. the next day she told me she saw her ex-boyfriend of 5 years(her first) and they began talking.

then she said he wanted to talk and it was closing time so they went to her house(she lives with her parents) and hung out on the patio. she said he leaned in and they kissed a few times for a total of under 10 seconds. only that one time. then she said he slept on her bed until 6 in the morning because she didn't want him to drive home until he sobered up a little. she said that they never did anything other than that under 10 second kiss and he just fell right asleep on her bed until she woke him to leave.

i believe her when she says that is all they did but i still don't get why she didn't turn away when he tried to kiss her. what should i do? what would you do? any help? thanks.

Well, we are both in dead end jobs until he gets out of school, and after deciding we both want a nice wedding (both of us have expensive taste) and starting to plan the one for 2009 (Which is a ways away) weve decided we will probably wait until 2010. Weve decided since he wont graduate until the end of 2008, and we need to put money down, and save up for everything that we may as well wait a year so we might be able to buy a house too.
Welllllllllllllll..... i'm already pulling my hair out over it, I wan to get married right away (no not a rush type of thing that Im trying to get money or don't want him to leave, im just eager to start our lives together) and 2009 seemed far away, well now it drives me even more nuts.
I figure this gives him time to get settled in his career and I can pick up a second job, or a job that pays me better and we can save gobs of money.
Any tips on how not to get stressed over this and let it take over my life....??

I recently bought some winter tyres for my car. I paid the deposit and left. He argued that I should let him pay for it, it was $1100 for the set of 4. I told him no, as I make more money than he does...but being a father he kept on insisting. Finally I go to pick it up, I ask a friend to come with me, because if I asked my dad he would just pay for the types. I go to Costco and take out my visa to pay for it...they said, oh no we don't take Visa, on AMEX....

Well my dad is the only one I know who has AMEX, so I had to call him to come pay for it. He came and paid for it, but now he's refusing to let me pay him back....

It's great that he wants to help me out...but I don't like taking ANY money from my parents. How can I pay him back?

My boyfriend and i have been together for about a year..and we have had sex one time(yes i am serious). Whenever i try to iniate sex he eventually gets frustrated and says i don't understand. He constently blames everything on being a diabetic. I feel that diabetes is a condition not an illness if you have the right diet plan and keep an eye on his blood sugar. Everytime i try to suggest any kind of advice i.e. going to see a doctor more often he always says they are just going to tell me what i already know. He doesn't exercise, which i know is important if you are a diabetic. I don't want to breakup with him because l love him so much and i want to marry him some day.
We both want kids, but don't you have to practice first to have kids??It's getting to the point where i am afraid to bring it up anymore.

He even said that if i "Need to Have Sex" i can find someone to have sex with!
that is just something i refuse to do because i believe in monogomy.
Please help! serious replies

Ok well I'm a 19 year old girl and a virgin.I just want to get some opinions on something here!
Do you think two virgins having sex for the first time together can work?
Alot of virgins say they'd rather their partner was in the same boat as them.
I don't agree though.I think it could be very akward and even more painful for the woman.
In my opinion a virgin girl would be better off with a more experienced lover who knows what to do and can be gentle.
I think I'd like a more experienced guy for my first time.
Whats your take on this?

My ex girlfriend who ive been with for 2 years wont leave me alone i need help with my situation.
My friends constantly told me that she wasnt for me and showed me all the messed up things she did/ ways she treated me, but i saw a different side of her. when i finally decided to leave her for good. She realized it was serious so she tried tempting me with everything she did before to get me to get back with her. when that didnt work she would start drama with my current girlfriend, who i really care about and who wants nothing with her. ive yelled at my ex, ignored her, ect. but nothing has worked. i am afraid if i do something serious like restraining order(with her past) that she might atempt suicide. and she has talked about it. if this happened i could not handle the stress. please put in mind i am a junior in high school. Please any suggestions.

Last year when I used to work, I worked very long hours in a retail store. School took a lot of my time too with classes and homework.

Basically, when I wasn't in school, I was working. When I wasn't working, I was in school. The small times in between, I was doing homework, studying, and sleeping.

School is really hard for me, and working is not something I enjoy either.

Yet people I know - who go to the same college as I and worked at the same job, sometimes with twice as many hours, manage to go out drinking and have a social life.

How do people do this? I tried, and all it did was make me start slacking on homework, etcetera.

When I got home from work, and assuming I was all caught up with school, the *last* thing I felt like doing was leaving the house *again* to go party. I just wanted to veg and watch TV, play computer games, or sleep.

As a result, I didn't get out much.

Like, I'd really like some insight?

Hi, my bf & I have been dating for 5 yrs plus, and well, we're actually thinking to start planning for marriage soon, but something personal between us cropped up, that makes me wana hold on to our wedding plans until we're sure that we want to get married and grow old with each other.

However, frens, relatives and esp elders have been asking, esp during meet ups and gatherings, on when we're getting married, or we've been together for a long time & it's time for us to get married etc etc... All these have been really fustrating, is there a way to "shut ppl up in a nice way" yet without explaining why we're holding on to the plans?

Many thanks...

then later this night, he sees me OL and IM's me but i pretended not to be there
