I used to date my ex before splitting up earlier this year.
We used to be very close and spend so much time with each other, that I never found it necessary to meet other people and make new friends.

Now that we’ve split up, I’m having the most difficult time trying to meet new people and make new friends.

Where do I begin?
Where would I find good, wholesome people that I can share my interests and hobbies with?

Everyone here at my place of work, is already married and most of them have kids.

Where would be a good place to find single people that I can just hang out with… and do regular stuff with, like going to the movies, doing lunch and other fun activities?

Start going to places you usually don't go. Places where people hang out. Depends on who, or what you're looking for.

This is a networking method that is worthwhile... any kind of hobby or interest... it will list it and where they meet in your area. If there isn't anything in your line, you can start a meetup group.

Facebook seems to be the current way of choice. These sites pass in and out of fashion but there are plenty others like them too. That's somewhere to start!
