Thanks for your thoughts:)

I asked this a couple fo days ago. My 21 month old daughter is completely potty trained, (we do not want pullups), she is really small. She weighs 21 pounds dressed with her shoes on. She wears size 12 month clothes. Size 2t panties (even washed in hot water and dried) fall off of her. I need to take them in over an inch. I am looking for a company that caters to small girls so I can get her some panties that fit her. Maybe someone has a preemie who is now older, and can tell me where you get clothes. Thank you very much, especially those who answered the first time.

He is 5 years old starting Kindingarten this September. He has never slept by himself or in his own bed ever. It bothers me that he sleeps with my parents because it causes him to be up around the house at 11 at night until my parents decide to go to bed. If he gets tired it causes my Step_Dad to go upstairs to the bed until he falls asleep, ruining a family night. He has a whole entire room with a newly-purchased bunk-bed, a tv, and everythign a kid could want, but yet he never has once slept in it. At one time, my family tried to get him to sleep in his room but instead it ended up with my Step_Dad laying in the bunk bed with him until he fell asleep. Now he is back to sleeping in their bed, and they aren't doing anythign about it. It might seem I'm just a complainer, but it gets really annoying at 16 when a 5 year old runs around the house at 11, and refuses to sleep in his own room or by himself. I feel like my parents are spoiling him way too much. What would you do?

The last couple of nights, I've been hearing what I think is my daughter 'blabbing' in her sleep through the monitor. I say 'blabbing' because it's as if she's talking, but I don't hear any actual words. Normally, this is unusual for her because she always talks so clearly. But anyway, I hear this suddenly and then by the time I get up to see if she's awake, I hear nothing. Not even her stirring around. At first I thought that she woke up and was talking with her little stuffed puppy she sleeps with, but when I realized I didn't hear any words, I knew that wasn't the case. Then, I thought maybe she's talking in her sleep. I know some adults do that, but do children do that also? But then.... another thought crossed my mind. This may sound weird, but I've heard stories about people hearing weird noises or voices coming from the monitor, but when they go into their baby's bedroom, they are still asleep and nobody else is around. Maybe it happens from interference with other electronics.

I keep trying to explain to my daughters grandparents that I like her to eat nutritious healthy food, but I'm not sure they get it. I'm not really really strict, she has smarties or biscuits occasionally, but whenever they come round they come armed with piles of jammy dodgers, sugary yoghurts, sweets, marshmallows and things.
Usually I give most to other people and just give my daughter a little bit, not wanting to offend them. But my daughter is getting to the age now when she will notice they are bringing these things round and want to eat all of them so how do I get them to understand? Does anyone else have this problem with grandparents?

I tried asking them to bring things like strawberries and cereal bars instead but they didnt listen

My sister applied deodorant to my 4 year old and I was concerned since I had always heard it was really bad for small children. Someone told me that they would need it if worn enough.

He worries about everything from weather, changes in his body, touching people casually ( rubbing arms ) he feels that's wrong, his sexuality, he is a mess. He sees a doctor on Monday, but for now. He didn't want to go to school today but he went. He feels he is not normal. Aside from telling him ourselves it's normal and he will be alright and providing as much info as he wants, I don't know how to make him feel that he will be okay & that we will work through it together.

My 23 month old daughter has hit a hard stage for me to come up with some ideas of how to solve, prevent and get through this stage... she bites, hits, kicks, and smacks me when she is frustrated or doesn't get her way... I do not believe in physical disipline.. i believe in time outs and taking toys away... but when it comes to this issue.. I feel helpless... if anyone has some ideas that do work either creative or traditional please share them with me... I love my daughter very much and I am clueless of what to do when this behavior occurs... I have tried time out ... remove toys from her play area and ignoring the behavior none of these have worked for me.... please keep in mind I will not bite, hit etc. my child to show her it hurts... in my oppinion that just reenforces the behavior I am struggling with... Thank you in advance for helping me get some ideas to get through this with my daughter.

my 2 year old son is covered in little whelps that look like bug bites, He goes to a babysitter while I and his father are at work, but none of the other kids are bothered by it, and at home his father and I don't have any problems with it. I don't know if it is some kind of insect bite, or if maybe it's his allergies, should I have an allergy test done to see what he is allergic to? If anyone has had a similar problem please let me know!!

I was wondering is it normal for my sons to fight (bite, hit, ) all the time? they are 12m 18 days apart and they fight all the time one min. they are playing the next thing i know they are hitting each other. I ask the pre school teacher if they fight w/other kids she said no it's never been a problem. I have tried everything time-outs, making them hug each other for 3min. It seems nothing works. They can go from being best friends to fighting in just min. Any suggestions? Will it always be like this?

Several times my babysitter has mentioned to me that my 20 month year old son turns blue around his lips. He doesn't seem to have any trouble breathing, but it will last sometimes for up to an hour. I myself have never noticed this. my oldest son as astma (he is five) and I am an observant parent and would think I would notice if there were some issues. I did notice that the last time he ran a fever his hands were freezing. Is there some kind of underlying problem that would cause him to interminently turn blue? Could it be is circulation? By the way he is very fair skined.

My 16-month-old sometimes poops in the bathtub. We can't catch her before she goes because she doesn't have to strain -- it just pops right out when she squats or gets laughing. She is too young to start potty training. We try our best to wait to give the bath until she has already pooped after supper, but she doesn't go every night. What else can we do?

his dad had joint custody of him until a few months ago - now he comes on tues and thurs and every other weekend. the whole time he is in our care he cries. he wakes up at 5 am and wants to watch tv and play video games and eat snacks - he says his mom lets him. he wont eat supper all he wants is icecream and chips and cookies - if we make him eat he makes himself throwup - sometimes all over the table. he wont interact with any of the family he just wants to sit in a daze in front of the tv - the other day the other kids were calling for him to come and play and he completely ignored them so i went in the room to tell him the other kids wanted him to play and he started crying hysterically and said all he wants to do is watch tv and that we are mean. noone is mean to him we try everything to get him to interact with us as a family and he wont. he never acted like this until he went to live with his mother full time. he also has a sis who is 10 and she is an angel i could go on & on

Ok, my daughter has been ill on and off since March mostly with fever and diarrohea. She has been to doctors umpteen times and has recently been referred to hospital. No-one knows what is causing the illness, but the hospital suspects a urine infection (because they have tested everything else).

The hospital want a "fresh catch urine sample" from her - meaning they want us to catch the pee. But this is proving almost impossible - she sneaks off to pee - when you do catch her peeing and place the cup between her legs she stops immediately so that there isnt enough sample to use. We have to use a particular sterile cup to catch the pee, but nothing is allowed to touch the inside of the cup except her pee, which is difficualt if you have to grab it in a hurry to catch her peeing!!

I am at the end of my tether - we are not allowed to use the sample we took using a pee bag (inserted under the nappy) because they felt the sample would be contiminated. Anyone been thru this? Help

I am a single mother of a nearly 3 year old daughter. I go to school full time during the days and nights. My daughter has become very clingy to me and sometimes its hard for me to drop her off at preschool because she cries so much when I am leaving her. She whines a lot when shes with me but i think its mainly for attention which i give tons of. School is also very stressful right now as I am graduating in 5 months. So I have a bulk of my hard classes now and a looming exturnship next quarter in the med field. I never have time to clean, I barely have time for a shower, my life is in shambles right now and I don't know what to do!!! I can't take a break from school because I've been here long enough! Someone give me some pointers please!!! What do I do??

My daughter has a "lazy eye". She is 4 years old. She wears glasses. (very cute pink ones :) ) She doesn't have a problem wearing them. She likes them actually. Her eye doctor had us start patching her stronger eye to straighten & strengthen her weaker eye. Here's the problem: What do I say to people who come up to us in public and want to know what's wrong with her? They always ask right in front of her. I don't want her to feel that her patch is drawing that much attention because then I'm afraid she won't wear it. We tried the band aid patches and ordered the fancy ones with pretty designs too. Everyone thought she had hurt herself. So now she has a foam patch that connects to her glasses and is rainbow color. This still draws attention like she is majorly hurt. She has no diabilites whatsoever. Everyone is treating her as so. What do I say? When I tell the truth they are always wanting to know more.

My son just turned 4yrs old this month. He is potty trained, he will go potty by himself all the time it's just getting him to go #2 on the potty. I have done everything, treats, letting him see me go to the bathroom, big boy underware, saying bye bye and flushing, reading books while on the potty, you name it I have done it. I even bought a special seat with Elmo on the seat hoping he would use the special seat. I am at my witts end, I have found myself getting angery and yelling at him for this. I don't want to do that, I have even cried by myself thinking I am doing something wrong. He will go #2 on the floor of his room, bathroom or any where he can find a place. I don't know what to do, I'm really getting tired of cleaning waste of the floor and my house stinks like a dirty bathroom. He knows he is doing it he will go and hind.He knows he has the urge to go. It's just getting him to sit on the potty and go. It's as if he is scared. We got the #1 down just got to get the #2 down

My girls are almost 4 and 3 years old and have long, beautiful hair- because of that all our family and friends are always buying cute little barrettes, clips, ponytail holders, headbands etc. They almost always receive matching sets. We are very appreciative for their gifts, but the accessories are taking over the girls' bathroom cabinet!! It feels as though there are enough to do all the girls hair at any given elementary school!

Please help! I would love to hear some ideas as to how I can organize and store all these wonderful hair accessories and still be able to get to them when in a time crunch! I am grateful for your time and suggestions! Thank you in advance! :)
