So, my daughter's room is driving me insane! She's 3 and has no less than 10 baby dolls, an infinite number of teddy bears, 12 barbies!!! I want to "organize" her room and clean out some of the clutter...

I've tried begging her to help me bag them up to donate to a child in need, but she told me sadly "I'm just not ready to give them away yet mommy." I tried the "but they don't have any toys to play with" and she said, "Oh, well, mommy, we can go buy them some!"

I asked everyone at Christmas to get her clothes, books, or storage items.. lol.. however, as you can guess, we came home with baby strollers, wagons, 3 baby dolls, 3 new barbies, etc.!!! Help!!!

And, to make matters more dire, her birthday is in 2 weeks!

How do you deal with all the clutter?

I have 15 month old identical twin boys that are starting to hit. They will hit me if I do not give them what I have, and they are now hitting eachother. I cannot figure out how to teach them this is wrong. They see eachother doing it, so they think it's funny. I am a stay at home mom with NO help, and I am going nuts!

im watching my 2 year old neice(she's almost 3) she sleeps from about 8:30pm and wakes up at 8am. but my sister-in-law said today my neice woke up at 7am so she would probably fall asleep earlier. its almost 10pm now and she's still awake! she stays here pretty much ever other weekend so its not that she misses her bed or her parents. how can i get her to go to sleep? i've tried everything. we've read books, and watched movies, nothing is working!
so how can i get her to go to sleep?
what time does your 2 year old go to sleep at?

There used to be so many,
of my finger prints to see,
on furniture, walls and things,
from sticky grubby me,

But if you stop to think a while,
you`ll see i`m growing fast,
those tiny handprints disappear,
you can`t bring back what`s past,

so here`s a small reminder,
to keep, not wipe away,
of tiny hands and how they looked,
to make you smile someday.

LOVELY IS`NT IT? type this out and stick onto large piece of paper, and then cut out your little ones hand prints and glue around the edges, then frame.
does anyone have any others like this??

my 2 year old sister was sitting on the kitchen counter which was about 2-2 1/2 feet high.
she was playing around and forgot that she was sitting on the counter and she suddenly fell off.
when she did,she fell on the kitchen floor which is not tile, but some kind of plastic or vinyl.
&&when she fell off,her whole body and her head bounced on the floor, sorta like what would happen if you dropped a doll,it bounces.
she cried so much and she was sweating so much that her hair was all wet.
COULD SHE BE IN SHOCK?IS THIS REALLY SERIOUS THAT SHE HAS TO GO TO THE ER?
so after all that happened, she fell asleep..
please give me real answers.

My three year old will not potty train! She refuses!I'll have her potty trained for a couple of weeks, boom back to square one. She's peeing in her potty pants again. We've been on this back and forth thing now a year.Bribes don't work. She started being potty trained as soon as she turned two.Poop, pee, she did it all.For like a month and went back to diapers.I'm so lost!I don't know if I should force it or let it take its course.Madi is very independent, and can be very controlling in what she wants to do.Not only that it seems like a constant battle because she's always sick.Today is 7 days since she pooped. The constant constipation makes her hurt and she hates to sit on the potty when it hurts so bad.Grrr...can this be more simple?I don't know what to do.Wait till she's 4 then push it? She did everything else early. She teethed at 4 months, had almost all her teeth in by 1, she said her first word at 6 months, she ate people food at 9 months. What do I do? Nothing works!

My 3 year old son is pretty thin (unlike his brother who was thick-waisted at this age) and all the pants I have that are the right length for him right now have too big a waist and fall off.

Anyone else have this problem? Can you suggest any brands of jeans/pants that tend towards smaller waists?

I have a 2 1/2 year old and don't know a ton about children's behavior but my best friend's son is 4, about to turn 5 in February, and just seems to have such bratty behavior at times. I'm trying to be understanding but it's just a little too much I think. I never acted like this out in public but the past two times he's been to my house, he has told me or my husband things like "Get out of here!" over and over or "I'll spank you if you don't get out of here!" "I'm staying here, you go in the other room" "Don't watch me eat!" "I don't like that smell and I can't eat!". I know kids are kids but I never dare said that to my mom's friends when I was a kid. Is this really bratty behavior or just typical for kids this age to say to anyone?

I would like to do crafts at home with my daughter. She is pretty smart for her age, so anything that would be suitable for up to a 21/2 yr old, would probably work. We are on a budget, and I am not that "crafty" to begin with. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I am wondering what the general feeling is. We have a 4 month and 2 year old. We have zero romantic time. like 5 times in 07. Granted she wazs preggers for 9 months. However, we have had 2 times since August. Yes I know kids etc. She gets up early with the kids and I stay up late so she can sleep. Howevr, she goes to bed at 900/1000 pm\. It seems like she does not care.
We have been arguing a fair amount the last couple months. I.E. on Christmas at my parents house our son was out of control. I grabbed him by the arm and pulled him 3 feet onto the carpet. She snapped and yelled" you wont drag my son by his arm we arent hillbillys" This was done in fromt of both my parents. I felt like she had no respect for me.
That along with her never making time for US. I have been on vacation now for 9 days and not once has she tried to stay up with me or even make time for us!
I know I got a alot of issues here.
Help

My 18 month old can count to ten, knows the alphabet, and can sing at least 10 different nursery songs. She also knows some colors and shapes, many different animals and names for other objects. She can also speak in small sentences like "thank you mama" "want water please" . What do you think? BTW she is also a twin. Her sister is not too far behind her in these areas...

For example, "Everyone Poops," "The Gas We Pass: The Story Of Farts".... and no this isn't a joke. Do you find these books to be odd and useless or helpful in potty training and teaching children?

Just in case you don't know what these books are:

I've been living with my girlfriend (and her daugher from a previous marriage) for a year. The little girl looks forward to me giving her a bath and I feel like its a way for us to bond. To me it seems perfectly normal and we are both totally comfortable with it. I shampoo her hair and scrub her body with soap....but a friend of my girlfriend (not exactly an ideal parent in my opinion) claims that its wrong for a male to give a 4 yr old female a bath. Any thoughts.......?
