Ive tryed those belt they sell at targett. they work for a couple of weeks and then loose their stick. I cant do anything permenant. the first place that my 2 year old always heads is the refrigerator. I know shes not hungery. shes fed 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. she really doesnt eat the food, the plays with it. This happens at night when I go to work and my hubbies here watching her. Its to the point where Im shopping day to day and keeping very little food in my refrigerator. When Im home ill put her in her pack and play and then shes ok for a couple of hours. how do I make my hubbie more attentive towards my 2 and 3 year old daughters. do you know of any childproof gadgets for the fridge that arent permenant?

my dd is 3 and 1/2, and all she wants to watch is 'the wall'. i have educated her on all genres of music since she was 6 months old, but she is obsessed with the wall. i have never over-played it for her, but she is drawn to it. should i be concerned? she has a healthy balance of music, but she prefers the 'disturbed' and 'hoochie' music the most. thoughts, advice, ideas?

My son will be 20 months old tommrow, he only says about 5 or 6 words but used to say about 10 or so. He also will not watch tv (not that it's a bad thing) and when he hears louder noises he plugs his ears. He has tubes so he should have any fluid, I just don't know what is wrong with him! Anyone have any advice??? Early Intervention has been out once about 2 months ago and said he's delayed but it's not that bad. I am VERY concerned! HELP!

my 22 mo. old boy will not cooperate no matter what i do. i've tried spanking and it didnt work so i don't do it anymore. i put him in his crib for time out when he's having a tantrum. i give him a few minutes and when i go to get him, i ask him if he's ready to be good and cooperate w/ whatever it is we're trying to do. he'll say he's ready to be good, but then he will go right back to his tantrum. I've been consistent, so i think this is just the begining of terrible 2's. Or, he's still spoiled from being sick last week.

My 2 year old never bit anyone until my son came home from the hospitol the other day, she would hold him and kiss him on his head and then bite him on the finger. Since that day she has been biting kids in her sunday school class. Is this just a phase or will this be something that will continue for sometime?

Need the toddler bed now for the 2 year old. Cant decide on the twin or the full for our 3 year old. Main reason for the full would be to read books on it with him (so for our comfort). What did you do? Any other things to consider?

We have space in the room. Although full sheets, mattress, etc are of course more expensive. Dreading mattress shopping, know nothing about how to pick either.

Like when someone ask... How can I can my one year old to sleep in her own bed...

ok my one year old still sleeps with me.. And I love it... I feel more comfortable with her there..

Also when parents say how can I break my baby from her paci....And then those of you who go and say "THEY SHOULD NOT BE USING A PACI! THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFF OF THAT BY 4-6 MONTHS"
Do you not realize that a paci DOES help reduce sids?!?
It keeps them from going into a deep sleep.

UGH! when people ask for help dont be rude and tell them how to parent their child... Just tell them what you think would help with their situation.

ok well I am currently trying to find some kids to baby sit, and this man said he needed me to watch his son in june. He said he was a maneger for a model, and that his company was going to pay me in advance. Well I gave him my adress, so he could bring his son by, and so I could get paid. He called me and he seemed a bit strange. Not to be rude, but I got a bad vibe. I had to send him a copy of my Id so he could see who he was leaving his child with. And he said my pic was georgous. and that was a little weird for me. Plus it was abad photo. Im just scared he doesnt really need a sitter, and why would his company pay me almost 2 months before I started to watch the kid. I searched the web and couldnt find any info on the man, or the model he worked for.... I am just wondering should i be worried, should i be scared.

I dont like the idea of putting my kids on a leash and think it makes your kid look more like a pet. BUT....One of my kids(how'd you guess? a boy!). He wont be quite 4 when we go to Disney. He is very active and FAST. We will have a stroller and we do hold hands but were thinking about putting a harness on him or at least having it available, just because its a scary thought to lose him in such a big crowd. Id like the public's opinion on this. Would it be forgivable at Disney or just as abusive.

Has anyone ever used these? Are they reliable? I am planning on getting a few for my windows at home. We live on the third floor of an apartment building and I just don't feel my daughter is safe (she's 2). Just asking for your reviews on these things. Is there a certain kind I should get...and so on. Thanks!!

I have a wonderfull baby girl. She is amazingly sweet and thoughtfull even at 16 months she knows to share and will come across the room to hug someone. Its so cute. However, I am coming to a point where I am not sure how to discipline. I feel like I am saying no so much. I feel bad too. I take care of her pretty much all alone and with no breaks ever it can be very hard at times. So my question is this.. What is the best way to get my baby to listen to me without spanking or yelling no all the time. I only get one shot to get this right and believe it takes a village to raise a child so this is my village ;) help me out mama's

I feel so bad. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. The 2 yr. old is always getting hurt. He banged his head on a coffee table(I was standing right there) and had to get stiches. Then the two boys were wrestling over a bowl- I don't know if the 5 year old hit him with the bowl or if it was an accident but the 2 year old ended up with a huge gash over his eyebrow that required 6 stiches. I feel so bad. My 5 year old never got hurt this much. Do I just lock the 2 year old in a bubble until he's 21???
