We're going on a trip and I want to download some good songs for my little one to hear in the car. Any good recommendations as far as bands/songs for a pre-school aged child? So far, he really has taken to 'Ralph's World' and They Might Be Giants.

There's a kid at my son's daycare with Down Syndrome who's been biting, scratching, and hitting the other chlidren. Last week he bit my son so hard that even through his jeans, he had a huge bite-shaped bruise.

My husband and I are going in on Friday to talk to them about this. At a minimum, I'd like for that violent kid to be more closely supervised. Has anyone dealt with this before? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

She talks back to the day care teachers, she acts mean to the kids at school. I frequently get notes sent home with her from her teacher about something wrong that she has been doing at school. I don't know what to do. Will she ever start acting right? I hate this, I feel like a horrible parent.

My little girl (15 mo's old) likes toast. We have been putting Country Crock spread on it and there have been no troubles with rashes or anything. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any long term side effects from the ingredients in butter spreads. A pediatrician told me that you should NEVER give young children diet cola as there are ingredients in it that have proven to be harmful to their developement (ADD and other brain function problems)...so I was wondering about the butter stuff. Thanks!

my daughter just turned three. She's a little short for her age but average in weight. She a healthy kid and gets tons of running around time. We eat pretty healthy, her favorites are salad and fritata!!! problem is she's always asking for food. And i mean ALWAYS. She eats normal meals at meal time and gets snacks at snack time but she still wants more. I feel bad saying no all the time cause she's not gaining weight from it but i also don't want her develop unhealthy habits that will screw up her futur.
So what do I tell my little girl the next time she asks for food?

My daughter is addicted to Lazytown. She is 2 1/2 and loves it so much! Is it ok for me to love it too? I have all of their songs on my ipod and I listen to them by myself. I know the puppets are a little creepy. Anyone else just love it?

She pulls them out and now I have to think of a choking hazard because I have found one earring and the back chewed up and spit out in her bed. She pulls the safety back off. I do not want her to rip her ears or choke she was 14 months old when I had her ears pierced she is now 29 months she just started doing this in the past month.

I have a 2 yr old daughter and i just recently started working a full-time temp job. I am having withdrawls from my girl! I see her 3 hours every day, that's not right! When i walk in the door she gets so happy, she's even cried while laughing a couple times. I was going to work full-time, but this just isn't good at all!
I feel like changes should be made in the work world.....like a 40-hr work wk should not be mandatory for mothers with children who are not in school yet. Because i cannot find many jobs that would offer me hours like that!

I am a late riser, as well as my son, so bedtime around 10 or later is what we want to work on, he goes to bed around 3am now. I am not dumb, just exhausted from dealing with him alone for 2yrs while my husband is deployed and I want to get him on somewhat of a schedule. Thanks, real honest answers please.

She drinks everything else out of her sippy cup. She eats regular meals, and about an hour after she has a WARM milk bottle. (at first i had to get her off the cereal in her bottle from having acid reflux) Now that I have it down to just milk, i want her off the bottle before shes older and its a problem. Its too much of a comfort to just go cold turkey. I need more innovative ideas here. she would go with out a normal food meal, before going with out the bottle. I tried it warm in the sippy cup, cold in the sippy, added chocolate to it...she acts like its poison.. help?

I have identical twin boys who are four-years-old. Since they were babies, they have shared a room. We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse, but the 3rd room is currently their toy room. Now that they're bigger and out of cribs and all do you think I should put them in different rooms? I don't know.. I'm just one of those moms who wants them doing everything together since they're twins. They started crawling within the same week, both were walking within 2 weeks of each other, same with talking, potty training etc. My husband says separate them so they have more space. We don't have the big huge house but we do have 1 more room (toy room) But about them being together I plan on having them together in school too :)

What do you think about the room arrangements? Together, or apart?

My daughter has Sensory Integration.
We would like to put a fish tank in her room to help sooth her, calm her or just give her some visual input.
However, I have heard that the fake aquariums are pretty neat, too.
Does any parent with a child with sensory issues have a real fish tank or have any advice?

He doesn't sweat much, and he's not in water. It's SPF 45 UVA & UVB. The bottle says it last up to 80 minutes in the water. I need to know how often to reapply with regular play in direct sun.

My son is waking up 2-5 times a week, usually during naps but sometimes at night with a terrified cry. I can't seem to sooth him and he usually still has his eyes closed. I try to wake him and sing to him and have tried making him laugh but tears just keep falling for as long as 10 mins! He NEVER cries during the day! It's breaking my heart, I dont let him watch scary movies and I dont watch any disturbing television when he is awake. It just started about a month ago, he just turned 16months! HELP PLEASE!

My son is the pickiest eater ever. He wants his food an a certain plate, cooked a certain way. For example: From a hand full of foods that he like spaghetti he most of the time wants it without any sauce. I know I was a picky eater when I was a little girl, but my 1 year old daughter loves food. What do you think?
