It is at the park with pizza, cake, and a sno cone machine. There is also a splash pad for the kids along with a play area. 2 hrs, 3hrs, etc?

I have a daughter who will be 3 this November. Lately it seems like she can't make up her mind about anything. Here's a typical conversation: "Mommy, I want juice!" "Ok, here's some juice!" "No!" "You don't want juice?" "Want juice!" I hand it to her "No!" Then I give her a chance to either take it or not and then I won't give it to her again. I get so frustrated. Have you experienced this with your kids? Is it that they're trying out the word no, or they really have trouble deciding?

For example, how many days should we plan on being at Disneyland and Family Adventure to be able to utilize all the rides/features for kids ages 2 & 3?

Will they like Universal Studios or are they too young?

How about Sea World or the San Diego Zoo? Or any other thing you may suggest our kids would like in that area.

Any suggestions to help us make this family vacation a success is much appreciated.

My 2 1/2 year old is not big on veggies. She eats corn, tomatoes, butter beans (sometimes), but other than that, there are not too many veggies I can get her to eat. It doesn't help that my husband won't touch a vegetable (he considers mashed potatoes and mac n cheese veggies). Is there any way I can encourage her to try new foods? Right now, I'm settling for sneaking veggies into her (cooking carrots and mashing them up in spaghetti sauce, for example). But, I want her to "openly" eat veggies. Any advice?

I love sending out Evites early but wonder if next week is too early for an Evite for a party for October 13th (toddler Halloween party). I wrote "Mark your calendars" on the evite b/c I know everyone is always so busy and have busy schedules. Is it too early to send them out next week? It would be 6 weeks in advance...

How old was child when he/she could feed himself/herself with a spoon or fork? My little boy hasn't really shown too much interest until yesterday and then all of a sudden he wanted to do it himself. I handed him the spoon and he fed himself both meals yesterday without dropping or spilling. He is almost 16months old bye the way... I was just wondering if he should be doing this all the time or if it was a fluke or what... thanks to all who respond!

According to their "policy" no parents are allowed in the dentist's room with their child. I don't like this. My son is very shy and also has a speech issue. His appointment is today, and I want to insist that I be allowed to go back there with him. Is this unreasonable of me? What is the purpose of their policy?
I'm sorry, but I don't trust anyone with my children nowadays.

we have been training since he turned 2, and i have no idea what to try next. i know he can do it, as we have had dry weeks in the past, but i have to prompt him every time to go... it's like he has no idea he needs to go till it's too late. if i keep prompting him,he will never learn to need to go will he?
he NEVER has accidents when we are out (even for a whole afternoon), so i know he can hold on if he needs to, but he forgets at home and nursery.
we have tried stickers, sweeties if he uses the potty (worked for a bit, but sat on it several times in a hour, squeezed out a tiny drop, and demanded reward, so not really getting the point), small pressie if he stays dry all day, but he lost interest after a couple of pressie free days. he has just wet all over the new study carpet, and just doesn't seem to care.
HELP!!!

I was to get started soon but he has very poor speech for his age. His intellect is fine, hes quite clever but his speech delay really prevents him from understanding simple instructions. He is now 2 years and 3 months. I do alot of work with him in relation to his talking and he will attend speech therapy. Slowly the words are coming but I just havent a clue how to approach toilet training. I have a 6 year old who was talking, no lie fron 6 months and he trained relatively easy. He understood what I asked of him! Anybody out there that has or had a similar situation to me?

My son just turned 2 about a month ago, and I am kinda stumped on what to feed him..he stays at home with me. He usually eats hot dogs, mac and cheese, and chicken nuggets..but it seems he won't eat anything else, so I feel bad cause he eats the same things week after week. What are some ideas for lunch that aren't too expensive, I am on a tight budget. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

These kids in my neighborhood just moved in. They are ages 4 and 5. Yesterday they came over to play but only played with my childrens toys not with my child. They also ended up throwing mud at my son while my son ran around the yard. Today the kids came back over and as soon as my son went out to play the girl, 5, started telling me some interesting things. She said her mom died and she didnt know what happened to her. She then said, quote" My friend Rob he was really mean he pretended to be Dino's friend and Dino believed him and Dino was brushing his teeth and Rob blew his brains out and Dino thought he was his friend; and that girl said she had to clean up brain matter of the mirror and I think that is nasty" So... I understand these kids really have it bad, because I found out their father is in jail, their mom was murdered and they dont know what happened, and apparently Dino was the mothers brother... but should I let my son play with them?

Before anyone jumps to conclusion and says Hydrocepholus, let me explain what is going on. At my 20 week ultrasound today, the ultrasonographer told my doctor that when she scanned the brain, she said the space with fluid looked a little larger than normal, so she measured it with the ultrasound equipment and the measurment turned out to be in perfect range. My doctor said not to worry about it but that is completely impossible for me. She said it looks larger all the time on ultrasounds and turns out to be nothing. My question is has anyone ever had their doc say this to them and it turns out to be nothing? I don't want false hope, but I don't want to worry myself into preterm labor. Any feedback is appreciated.

My dog got scared and ran backwards and my daughter was standing right behind my dog and was thrown on the floor and hit her head really hard. She cried for a while, I feel no bumps, she reconigzes things, she's talking fine, she's walking fine. I won't let her go to sleep for an hour. I'm just paranoid right now and I need to know what everyone else thinks.

Ok, so I have a 5 yr old cousin that acts like she's five years older than ME. She's always bossing me around and threatens to cry if I don't do what she says. @ minutes ago She was whining for me to go to barbie.com. I wouldn't, so she tried to rip my brand new dress, I yanked her hand away and the force sent her reeling backwards out of her chair, she didn't even fall alll the way down, but she had this huge spazz attack. How do I deal with her? She's five! I'm soo much older than her!! and she bosses me!
