Yup, I have a 3yr old boy and a 2 yr old girl and they stay out of the kitchen cabinets and out of doors with the safety knobs on them. My son has tried to open the door with the safety knobs but doesn't really know how to yet. Sometimes I can't! and it gets frustrating at times but it is so much better than nothing. I don't worry about my kids opening the door and running out into the street or them getting into cleaning supplies or hazardous things. You may have to experiment with different kinds and styles. You will eventually find something that works for you and your kids. Good Luck!!

Well...i'm not sure about for the dresser drawers...but the doorknob covers do work, until they are about 3-4, then they figure it out.

You could keep his door closed and use the door knob covers (they do work) for now and have toys in the family room for him to play with. Rotate the toys every 2 or 3 days so he does not get sick of playing with the same things. If he is insistent on playing in his room - then stay in there with him.

lol nope not in my experiences. My kids always found a way around that stuff. Fortunatly they learned by age 2 to just stay out of stuff but they were horrible at 1 when they could get into any drawer and would figure out ways to get on furniture and open doors.

the doorknob cover works wonders i used it on my frount door so that they couldn't get out without me knowing and it wasn't until they were about 4 that they figured out that if they put their finger in the hole and push hard while turning they can open the door...the dresser locks they never figured out...i have teenagers who can't get into my kitchen drawers because they don't know how they work...lol...i would suggest both of them!!!!

well for closets if its a regular door with a door knob they have locks that go around the knob so he wont be able to turn it if not maybe put a hook lock at the top of the closet door jthe drawers i dont think they work for 2 year olds sorry your just going to have to teach you son to stay out

They work sometimes, but wound up just aggravating me. I taught my kids the word "no" from early on. That helped a lot
Good luck!

It depends on who you're putting them on for...when we put them on our cabinest they worked great...neither me nor my husband could get into the damn cabintes. but our daughter then two would come along and open up cabinets for us...

Why in the world would you want to keep him out of his own things.........................
Don't hang clothes up - fold them and put them on the top closet shelf.
Does he have enough toys to keep him occupied...........
