We read in several child books that if we force it, this will create trauma for her. Nothing traumatic or dramatic happened-- she just didn't want to be in tub anymore. She will go in paddling pool, but soon it will be too cool to bathe her there. We tried all the books many suggestions-- to make it fun, bubbles, etc., and zilch. The book said it is just a phase, but in the mean time...... what can we do?

She will be 3 in Feb and she still doesnt know any colors or her ABCs and doesnt know how to count to 10 yet. I work with her and she watches Sesame Street and Dora and Blues Clues and all kinds of educational things.
She can talk very well though.

My son was in a daycare i loved but i moved and had to move him to another one which i was very satisfied with until now. He has been bitten 3 times by the same kid.He did not break the skin, but this kid bites other kids also.He was pushed by another child outside on the playground and he fell back and busted the back of his head open, luckily he did not need stiches, and the ant problem on the playground. I know accidents are going to happen and i am not the type of mom to raise hell about her child getting hurt, but my concern is the supervision in the class. Child teacher ratio is 7 to1 and many days when i drop and pick him up there are about 12 to1 in the classroom.I have talked to the director many times and she explains that it is like that only until 8am then 4pm because they stagger their staff schedules. She assures me that there is enough supervision through out the day.Should i just chill, or move my son again. I don't want to move him but i want him to be safe at school.

My 18mth old daughter's left nostril and her face had dry blood when i woke up last night at 3am to change her diaper. I, of course freaked out and didn't know what to do. This has never happened before.
She isn't in ANY pain what so ever because she's not crying or being fussy.
I figured she didn't bump her nose or hurt herself in any way because she would've cried.
I did notice that the air was dry, could that be a factor???

It seems as though my daughter is not listening anymore.
If you ask her to do something, she will ignore you.
If you tell her to stop she won't.
If you ask her a question she will ignore you.

Like i have told her not to pick up her baby sister and everytime no one is looking she is. Even though I explain to her she is going to get hurt if she gets dropped but apparently it doesn't matter to her.

I ask her to brush her hair or get dressed and she doesn't she will just stand there and look at u or go do something else.

I feel like I have to yell at her to get her to do anything.

THen she says why are you yelling at me and I tell her I asked her five times do something and she doens't listen. I say if you would just listen I wouldn't have to yell. It seems like that is the only way to get her attention.

I have tried other things. LIke takin things away. I tried a chart that you put stickers on and get a prize. But it isn't helping.

I can't get my almost 3 year old to potty train. She will sit on the potty and do nothing. She can sit there all day and nothing she'll just say done, wipe and flush.

I have just put her in underwear because she doesn't care if she is wet., so the pullups aren't working for her. She goes through 14 undies a day . She even asks to go potty. We will be in the store or doing something and she says I have to go potty. But she doesn't.

I have tried the reward system, and letting her watch her 5 year old sister and myself, I have done everything I can and nothing works. She is in her room throwing a fit because she wants an M&M and I won't give her one because she didn't potty on the potty.

Any tips would be grately appreciated.

my daughter loves that bath, but I try really hard when she gets out of the tub to get all of the water out of her water toys, like her rubber duckies, water boats, and what not. but somehow after a little while her rubber duckies always seem to get mildewy inside. is there a safe way to clean these? or to prevent this from happening??
thanks!

ok my two year old (she'll be three in dec.) has been potty trained since she febuary of this year. the only thing is she has to wear diapers at night cause shes a heavy sleeper. which is fine cause she'll grow out of that eventually. but all of a sudden starting last week she has been peeing in her pants two or three times a day. i don't know what its caused from? i just cant keep changing her panty's that many times a day she knows how to use the toilet and i've told her to let me know and i'll help her but it's like shes not paying attention or to busy to stop and go potty. i need some advice on how to get her into the routine again?? some times she even stands next to the toilet and just pees right there.l and i try not to get upset about it and i've been putting her in time out for it but its not working. i really need help with this she even peed when we were at one of her appointments it was kinda embarassing. i know shes only two but i dont know why she would go back!!! HELP!!!

My daughter is 18 months old and becoming very bratty. She's had testing and the results show she is ahead for her age. She is very smart. I think she may understand when something is wrong, but I feel like its too early to discipline her. I've done some yelling of "no" and some slapping on the wrist. She doesn't really react to it. I don't want to hurt her or have her associate me with abuse. I'm afraid that by the time she becomes two, she will be a terror.

And for the past two weeks she has stopped eating pretty much every thing, including her favs. Her doctor told me to to give her yogurt, but she doesn't eat that either. I have gotten her to eat scrambled eggs w/cheese,but even now is starting to not want that. I've tried all different finger foods. She'll eat ritz crackers, gold fish, cherrio's, but nothing of substance. Please give me some tips!

My answer at the moment would be NO! My son is struggling to eat "our" foods and the HV said to starve him, that he would eat when he was hungry. So I said what if it goes on for a week? Her reply was HE WON'T STARVE HIMSELF HE WILL EAT EVENTUALLY. I gave it 6 days of him eating the tiniest amounts of sandwiches and then he started getting blood in his poos. I gave up after that, I am not going to starve him like that again I feel like a terrible mother but I am glad I did not listen to her and trusted my own instincts.
Want to know the best bit? Has the HV phoned to see how we are doing?? HAS SHE HELL AS LIKE. So there you have my rant for the week!

I already asked the parents of the child who will be participating and they said "it should be alright" "I asked the child she said" I guess so?" But I would really like to know if I should try to find a sitter. Or if other people typically bring their kids? My kids are 7 mos and 2 years old. The cotillion will be held in the afternoon. I have no idea what to expect.
