with computer, video games and television combine, no more than one hour per day. That's combining all together!

A 3 yr old should not be on the computer or TV. They are way too young. The first 3 years are the most critical, its where they learn the most. Their brain does not grow from computer or TV. I know its really hot there b/c I used to live in AZ but you use this window of opportunity to teach your child everything !

I would allow my 3 year old to play games intended for their age for a maximum of a half an hour a day (they do make them for the PC and for leap pad, etc.). I have a friend who let her son play on the computer and play with game boy from the time he was 2 1/2, but he is still very active. It is all about balance and age appropriateness.

maybe 30 minutes a day with supervision. looking for coloring pages, arts and crafts on disneychannel.com or something for preschoolers. They have sites with nice interactive games that may help your baby learn visually...just like with a toy. Plus they can be introduced to a valuable source of technology for the future. But maybe that for once a week. I mean they're only 3 =] Best wishes and always monitor your child's computer and tv time and content!

huh? working or playing? hehehehehehe

My daughter is 4 and she maybe spends an hour a week playing educational games on the computer. Probably more like 2 hours a month.

2 hours per day/3 days a week. If they can handle it that long.
I live in Texas and I understand heat. Long as other activities are provided with a decent about of time spent on them, I would say the above.

It is a personal choice as a parent. Of course you should let them do other things, however if you want your child to understand computers well, let him/her on a pc a bit more than if you want them to be good at sports.

It is your choice as a parent what you think is good. Just not too much as I am sure you already know

Basically don't let the computer be the parent or babysitter
