I have a 3 year old son. He has been potty-trained for about six months, but recently has been having many accidents (instead of going into the bathroom to use the potty he pees on th floor in the playroom). He is a smart boy, but I can't quite tell if he knows he has to pee and just doesn't want to go to the potty or if it REALLY is an accident. He does tell me if he has pain or hurts from falling or getting hit by something (such as if he is walking and not paying attention and runs into a door, ect.), but he has not said anything about having disconfort while peeing. If there was disconfort than it would lead me to think that there may be an infection that needs medical attention. What other signs should I look for to determine if there might be a medical reason for these accidents?
Do you have any advice on how I can help my son get over this obstacle if he is doing this behavior on purpose?

my daughter is scared to poop all of a sudden because it is gross and icky and she wants nothing to do with it. i have tried everything from asking her to going on the potty to just letting her be and go on her own in her diaper. she holdes everything in, even gas. i don't know where she picked this up from, it is like she has a complex about it. i finally had to get a fleets and use it on her today after watching her walk around in pain for 3 days from not letting herself go. everytime she would get a feeling to go she would stand up and squeese her butt together and scream until the feeling passed. what should i do???

About 7pm his fever was up to 101 (under the arm), and he was cranky. We gave him tylonol. His fever is now up to 103.5 and is just laying in bed, not asleep, but not wanting to move. Has no other symptoms besides a hard/bloated tummy. I just gave him some motrin, and he already has all of his clothes off. What should I do???

I am obese and has never been into sports....okay, not even exercising. But I do not want to make the same mistake with my daughter who is currently 15 months old. Can anyone suggest me what kind of sports, exercising facilities, diet etc. should I give her, so that she can remain as flexible and well-coordinated as a gymnast, so that if she wants she can take any sports as a career or at least does not lose her self-confidence and health like me.

I went to my local sports center and they said that I should wait for five to six years for any formal training and let my daughter play as she likes. I would like your advice on the subject too. Can anyone tell me what is the youngest age these sports persons start and whether it is a help or a hindrance? I like gymnastics but any sport that can keep her fit and fine is fine enough for me too.

My son calls boys "pee pees" and girls "girly bits". I have friends who believe in teaching their children the correct termonology, but a 2 year old saying vagina and penis doesn't seem quite right, I think they have plenty of time to grow up, they should sound like children while they are, what do you think??

My sister is losing her mind, and doesn't know what to do. please, someone, help.

How can i make changing my 9 year old sons diaper easier? He will not allow me to do it, it is a very big struggle just to change him. We have tried pull ups but the diapers with the refastenable tabs work best for us changing him (if he lets us). We have tried giving him a distraction when changing like giving him a toy to play with or a book to look at. We have tried singing, and telling him a story, but he is still struggling. How can i make it easier for me and him?

My step son's mother made us buy a new carseat to take my stepson home with because we forgot his at home and were going to use my son's seat. When he was a year and a half and we did this she was fine with it now she says if we get stopped like that it is child endagerment and DHS will take him and she will not be able to get him back!
Child endagerment I know is if like you are drunk driving with a child.

I have a little boy who turned 3 years old last month. I am a stay-at-home mom and during the average day he listens to me and behaves pretty well...most of the time does what I ask, plays nicely with myself and his younger sister, doesn't really throw many fits or tantrums.
However, when his father comes home from work this all changes. He begins to be loud, really rough with everyone, doesn't listen, and usually ends up in teary-eyed, stomping fit at least once throughout the evening.
Although he does get the occational time out during the day with me, it's pretty much a given that sometime before bedtime he will get sent to time-out at least once.
I am not sure why this happens. Both of my children are always very happy to see their father when he comes home, as am I. My husband always gives both kids attention when comes home, gives them hugs, asks how their day went before he even gets to me. Do you have any suggestions on how I can help to make this transition easier?

She will be coming back in a few weeks, but an exact date has not been set. Many people have raised their eyebrow when they here this, but I don't think it's a big deal. I'm a single mom and needed a break, and she's with family. What's the big deal? It would be great to hear both sides of this one...

My 3 1/2 yr old daughter refuses to mind, no matter how I punish her, and she refuses to go to the potty. I tried putting panties on her, but she still wet them. For a few months, she wouldn't pee in the potty, but she would poop everytime, and now, she's back to pooping in her pull-up again and not going to the potty at all. I have tried everything....panties, rewards, lots of praise and nothing helps.

As for her behavior problems: she won't mind...I am constantly getting on to her for the same things over and over again. My mother thinks something is wrong with her, but what? I'm about at my wits end with her. I don't know what else to do.
