Depends on how old she is. Does her doctor think she is growing too fast, or is that your perception? Could be puberty, could be depression, could be a growth spurt. Kids get emotional. Kids eat a lot sometimes. Is this your first child?

As a mother of 3, I would say puberty too. Take her to the doctor and get the right answers. Educate her on all things that her body will be going thru, and make sure that you are prepared for when her period comes. This is very difficult to talk about sometimes, but it is better to be safe and prepared. If you cannot take her to the dr. go to the library and get some books you can both feel comfortable with.
This is a hard time, good luck.

At age 11, I was a clumsy, plain butterball !!! At 17, I was tall, slim and very trim, and looked damn good on prom night. Don't worry, Mom. You have a healthy girl who will become a beautiful young lady. Your little duckling will be a swan in a few short years. In the meantime, are you teaching her about wise food choices and making certain those choices are on your dinner table?

I would say her period is about to happen any month if it hasn't already. She is at the right age mom. It's puberty. Help her through the rough start it was for all us girls and help to keep her eating healthy!

It just depends on her age. If shes young its probably growing spirt or somethings bothering her. If shes a teenager something might be bothering her or she could be pregnate.
