When is it time to call a doctor?
His gums are all swolen, not just where the molar is comming through. He is in a good mood but at night he sweats and is soaking like he just had a shower. Fever is running close to 40 C (104 F) but in the day it is almostnormal.
I'm not worried..yet but this is taking to much out of him. What can I do and when is it time to call the doc?

Thanks for the input. He was reacting a bit to faint so we went to the ER (or local facsimily). Seems there is a virus going around and it takes 5 days before the fever goes down. He had no other symptoms so the doctor did not worry (us).
Keep hydrated and spoil him a little was the advice. Should be better in 2 days from now.

We do give him tylenol/paracetamol. It helps him sleep but does not lower the fever.

I'd call, that's kind of a high fever. There could be a slight infection in the gums.
Call during regular office hours, if the baby's in a good mood, it's not something to run to the E.R. about, but I'd call the office Monday morning, just in case.

If giving a dose of tylenol at night doesn't help at all I would see a doctor. He needs to sleep and he could have something else going on.

i think you should call the doc.my son is also 26 month old and is teething too.my doc says that is abnormal for the fever to last that long unless the kid has a disease

104 temp is really bad yes it is time to take to the doctors. Do you give him medicine, baby tylenol? Take him to the doctors, Hope he gets better fast hun
