I just heard on the news about baby bottles (they listed a few kinds) suddenly being unsafe. What's the deal on that? Anyone heard anything? All I know is I heard that Avent and Dr. Browns were two of them, I used both.

I usually don't get caught up in these bogus studies but thought I'd see what u were all thinking.

ok, so dd has not had a bm in 3 days now. She use to be the queen of eating any baby food in the container, because she won't eat fresh fruit or veggies, so I could give her some prunes and that would help. Well now she is all of the sudden refusing all baby food. She is eating all carbs. Pancakes, bread, crackers. She is eating yogurt and cheese and now loves real bananas. Well that does not help my cause.I don’t want any advice telling me about what she is eating is not good(carbs) because she use to never eat and my pedi. Says it is fine. She is eating healthy things, just constipating things. She won't drink any juice so I am not sure what to do. We are on day 5 of no bottles(except the night one) and she is still refusing milk out of the cup. They are so funny. Oh well. She is eating other dairy. It is so funny how they change in an instant, like with the baby food. She would scarf that stuff down and literally 2 days ago she is refusing anything in a container. Any advice would help. thanks Debbie

My little boy is reaching 18 mths, but he can only say mamama and papapa and nana( banana ). I've tried teaching him other simple words but he don't seems to be interested at all. although he can't speak but he can understand what i tell him to do. Should i be worry or as long as he understand me he should be fine? I heard ppl saying a ear infection may be the cause i wonder how true it is and how do i know if he has a ear infection?

My 5 year old son is rather fussy when it comes to food. Lately, he's refusing to take his milk. I've tried to change milk powder, but its even worse. He doesn't llike soya milk either. I'm worried, what other food can I give him instead which can substitute and has all the same goodness as milk!!

I was never diagnosed with PPD but alot of people told me I had the symptoms of it. I can't really afford to go to the dr. So I just bared with it and tried to make it through hoping that it would just go away.

I have been, recently, having more and more disturbing images pop into my head for no reason and they are so bad that I just want to throw up. For instance today I was out side with my brother holding a gun because he was cleaning up around my mom and my families house and the gun was for protection against venimous snakes that might be under some of the things he was moving around and hauling off.

Well I looked over at my son, who was in a play pen on the pourch so he would be safely out of the way and still be in eye view, and for some reason the image of him with a bullet hole through is forehead popped into my head and him lieing in the play pen with blood all around him.

(contiuned in additional details..please don't answer yet)

She is 2 years old. I figure it would be a great way to get in some extra vitamins while she is going thru this picky eating stage. It doesnt have any warnings on the box or anything, so I figure it could do nothing but good. Wondering if anyone else has tried this or heard anything about it. Thanks!

He will eat crackers and goldfish and cookies, cake, but for dinner he usually eats grill cheese sandwiches or these little quiches or #3 baby food jars and baby food fruit or yogurt. If I try to give him something different, he will either not eat it or take a bit and throw everything up. Please help andy advice would be greatly appreciated. ok my son is 20 months old and somehow he got hold of a red hot fireball jawbreaker. As quick as he put it in his mouth he spit it out saying hot and crying a tad bit. i gave him something to drink and went on my way making supper. when i sat him in the high chair to eat i noticed his face was real red and blotchy and puffy. well actually it was both cheeks up to the corner of his eyes his chin and neck. i immediatly gave him benadryl and with in 30 minutes the redness went way down and the swelling too. it was completely gone 3 hours later. Was this a reaction to the hotness in the fireball or something else. should i call the doctor and let them know what happened. it was a weird quick thing i was just wondering thats all. i heard of slap disease (not sure of the real name)but doesn't that last longer then that. thanks for answering

I recently came down w/ a case of laryngitis. The bad news is, I'm also the caretaker of a 3 month old boy. I am constantly in close contact w/ him because of the fact that I have to feed him, etc... How likely is it that my boy's gonna get sick now, because I have to be around him all day?

My son is not a affectionate little guy. He doesn't tend to like hugs. He does like to be held occasionally, even more when he's sick. Just overall he doesn't tend to ever want to get kiss and hugs from mommy and daddy. Is that normal for boys?

My son is three years old and I have been potty-training him for a few months now. After a few weeks he was starting to get the idea of it, but he caught the stomach virus going aroudn on christmas, and ever since it seems harder and harder to get him back on the toilet. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it! thanks!!! :)

A man in Mass "forgot" his toddler son in a shopping cart today. While I have never forgotten any of my children in a cart I once forgot one of my daughters in the car. My sister had taken my 2 older children and left my baby in the car she was only about 2 weeks old. I got into the store and realized she was in the car still. Instantly I ran back to my car and grabbed her breaking down on the way.
Everytime I get in my car to go in some place or get in my car to leave I double check that my daughter is there. I also place my purse in the back seat so I have to open the door to the back.

Have you honestly ever mistakenly forgotten one of your children? Not meaning to but just did it?

(I think the guy in the parking lot purposely left his son, how can you not see him there when you push it aside?)

My daughter is 2 and a half and still in diapers. Today she had diarrhea, and soon after developed diaper rash and has been fierce ever since. The diaper rash is to the point where she is starting to walk funny cause it hurts so bad. I have been putting aveeno diaper cream on using pentan wipes when I change her and changing her as soon as she gets wet or poops. I put her in a sitz bath with aveeno soothing bath treatment. Her cries are breaking my heart though. I would let her go without a diaper but due to the diarreha I can't. Any suggestions
