ok, so dd has not had a bm in 3 days now. She use to be the queen of eating any baby food in the container, because she won't eat fresh fruit or veggies, so I could give her some prunes and that would help. Well now she is all of the sudden refusing all baby food. She is eating all carbs. Pancakes, bread, crackers. She is eating yogurt and cheese and now loves real bananas. Well that does not help my cause.I don’t want any advice telling me about what she is eating is not good(carbs) because she use to never eat and my pedi. Says it is fine. She is eating healthy things, just constipating things. She won't drink any juice so I am not sure what to do. We are on day 5 of no bottles(except the night one) and she is still refusing milk out of the cup. They are so funny. Oh well. She is eating other dairy. It is so funny how they change in an instant, like with the baby food. She would scarf that stuff down and literally 2 days ago she is refusing anything in a container. Any advice would help. thanks Debbie

Ask the pediatrician if you can add Benefiber in her milk or sprinkle it on her food. I do this with my kids because we always had constipation issues with them. It's odorless and tasteless, it's just a bit on the pricey side. But it always works with them!

Try whole grain carbs instead of white flour. The increased fiber should help her pass. You could also try a spoon of maple syrup, that usually helps pass bowels and is sweet enough that most kids will go for it. It's also a lot more natural than a chemical suppository.

You don't say how old she is, but if you cut things into finger-lengthed foods, when she eat it then? All of my kids disdained baby foods from the beginning, so we've all had to serve from the table.

Dairy has lots of protein, so i wouldnt' worry about the carb balance. Have you tried plum or pear slices?
