My little one just vomited for the first time. He spend a lot of the day fussy and sleeping and just vomited after dinner.

How do you handle this besides obviously calling the pediatricians nurse line in the morning if he does it again.

Can you give them something to help their stomach?

My toddler is 2 1/2 years old and I just had another baby (imitates him), my tot does everything the baby does, cries like him, wants to sleep in the crib like a baby again, it is like if he feels like a baby too, he wasn't like that before the baby was born, and I don't know if it is the right time to potty train him, what should I do?

How on earth have other parents survived in the past? I have a four-year old who has just started Pre-Primary at five days a week, whilst trying to hold down a full-time job. My partner also works full-time. Yes, I suppose I could quit my job and be a stay-at-home mother, but we are trying to save enough money so we can get a home loan and buy the house we're living in. My daughter's day care centre has just told me that they can't accept anymore before/after school care children and my shifts are structured so I can either drop her off or pick her up, while my partner's quite often clash. I've been in my job just three months, so I don't want to rock the boat too much, but after calling other centres in the area, it looks like no one will be able to look after our girl for the half an hour either side of school that neither of us can do. Both our parents are too far away to look after her. I'm at my teether's end. Any ideas?

My 3 1/2 year old has a head cold, but tht has not stopped her. she has been climbing , and getting into everything. Refusing to clean up her toys. Her response is a loud NO, then she told me that I was a loser. I have no idea where she heard that at. I am still in shock. When she realized that what she said to me hurt me, she kept saying it. She may not feel well, but if she can go from room to room and get into things, and climb, isnt she well enough to go into her room and pick up her toys? She told me No. I don't like it, but I am not going to push her to clean up, she is only 3 1/2, as long as she is playing in her room while i am cooking dinner. Anyway, I am fairly new to disapline and setting boundaries, do parents still put their kids in timeout when they have a cold?

My daughter is going to be in a wedding in 5 weeks, I need to know how to take her dress measurements. She has the waist of an 18 month, she is normal height for a 3 year old, and wears a 2t shirt size..
She wont be able to go to Davids Bridal to try on dresses, so the bride will be picking it up tomorrow. My wife and I have no clue what size of dress she needs..hence the measurements

I am in a "community group" at my church, which is basically a Bible study held in different members' homes every week. Two of our members have 3 year olds who run amok everytime they enter someone else's household. It's not my place to say what the children are allowed to do at their own home, but other members agree with me that it's totally ridiculous that these kids are allowed to do anything they want as a guest in someone's home. I know they're young, but they seem to have no boundaries. Ex: jumping on couches, throwing things on the floor to make loud noises, running around yelling, and spilling food/drink on the floor! Is there an easy, polite way to let these people know their kids are being very rude (and in turn, so are they?!)

My three year old daughter is very mouthy. She gets an attitude and tells me and her father she hates us and she throws things. She also constantly pushes down her sisters (1 and 2). What are some ways of getting her under control or what could be causing her to be so mean?

My 18 month old has begun to wake up at 4:30 am daily. She goes to sleep at 6:30 pm, and sleeps through the night ( more or less). By 5:00 pm, she is showing all the signs of being tired; rubbing eyes, pulling at ears, cuddling with her special blanket.
Her bedtime has been around 6:30pm for the past 10 months.

She has pretty much finished with her morning nap, and is only sleeping for an hour and half in the afternoon. Needless to say, she is becoming quite cranky as this is not enough sleep for her.

What can I do to get her to sleep past 4:30 am as well as have a longer nap time in the afternoon? She is a babyschool 3x a week, from 9:00 am -2:30 pm. They do a great job of getting the kids to nap from 12:30ish - 2:00, but again, my child is still not getting a good, long sleep.

Legal Q In Regards to Child Support?
Long story short: My brother had one night stand with girl and she had a baby. He is a wonderful child and we adore him so. He is 5 now. My brother buys him clothes, jackets, shoes, and takes him out for dinners, entertainment and this all adds up, PLUS he pays for the child support $650. He even has to drive out 2 HOURS to see his kid on weekends.
My family gets to only see our dear nephew 2 DAYS a month. She claims he's always sick, and she wants my brother to come over there to spend time with her and the kid and she makes my brother go on HER job calls. She is using my brother so bad financially and emotionally.
She always threatens legal action to him for NO reason. No one in my family likes her but we give the child everything love attention, care, and buy everything that he needs and he is happy at our home.
My Q in case she pulls a crazy stunt to go to court, what should my brother have receipts, papers, pictures or what in court to prove that he is a good father? HELP!

My child is very verbal, enjoys telling stories and explaining how thing are done the correct way. Recently my child has begin to cry when they get frustrated or don't get their way, this is a very new behavior, my child did not do it when they were younger. The rountine has not changed, we have not moved, no new babies, no new rules. I can not determine what the problem might be. I am hoping that it is a phase and it will pass. I don't know if it is apart of turning four or what. Any feedback would help out.

I have a 3yr old nephew. He is the meanest child I've ever known!! He can be very sweet, but not too often. He plays for a little bit, them on a drop of a dime, he turns and he just starts beating on the other kids or even his PARENTS!! His Mother has even proclaimed that she doesn't even like her own son!! She puts in extra overtime just to stay away from him. We have ran out of options. We have taken him to therapists, but they all say he is to young to dianose with anything. So if ANYBODY has any suggestions, Please give them to me!!! I am open to anything at this point!!!! Thank you all, for ALL your help!!!!!!!!

and I am awful at it. Sometimes the no no's she does are funny but still no no's, so when I tell her no sternly or try to deter her to something else...I laugh and that only makes her think its ok. How do I stop my daughter or help her learn that playing in the toilet is a BIG no and that hitting is not nice?

Start to potty train her? She has a kiddy potty and she loves to sit on it when she follows me into the bathroom. I have no idea where to begin with the potty training. What is a good age? I read in a parents magazine that a mother had her 9 month old potty trained...I really don't see how!
