I feel for you! I have 3 kids (5-4-3) all who want to watch wiggles, dora,& backyardagins. I have learned to limit how much tv is on. For my sanity! I also tivo ER and Law and Order so I can watch when they are sleeping, sometimes I get a few weeks behind before I find time to watch though, lol. I love staying home with my babies but it is nice to have some grown up talk now and then!

I work part time at a daycare, and I watch the wiggles every morning. One of my favorites songs is Captain feathersword singing "The Eagle Rock" It amazes me every day how far these guys reach in teaching children. I say horray for them. my grandchildren and I have even seen them in concert. I have a deep admiration and respect for the WIGGLES for doing what they do.
By the way, I am 50 years old, but always young at heart.

It's not the Wiggles for me, my son likes The Wonder Pets! Ever think about TiVo? I just tape all the shows that I miss in the day...like the news and Oprah... so when I have the time I can watch it and start and stop it as much as I like! Isn't motherhood wonderful!!!!!!!!

Turn it off and color!

Get the "toddler's Busy book" on amazon - it has great activities.
Go to the library and check out some books.

Put in a c.d. and dance around with your toddler. (even if it is wiggle music!)

Bake cookies

play a game on the computer.

Ya, but I like Backyardigans and Wonder Pets. I also have a collection of Disney DVD's that my toddler loves watching...especially Lion King 1 1/2! Isn't it sad that these shows are almost all I watch anymore.

Don't forget the doodle bops! My sons love all the music and dancing around the house. I must admit it does get comical watching how my kids try and interact with the cartoons on t.v. In reality they do get your kids up and moving so they aren't really that bad. Besides it turns into your very own comedy show complete with the tunes that just stay in your head for days, till the next catchy one appears.

Is that the only channel? When I was home with my little ones, we would watch Disney movies (everyone enjoys those!) and when the kids were playing, I sometimes would catch up on the news if I were to watch TV at all.

Yes, for about three years now. I figure once my 14 month old gets about four or five, he'll grow out of it. Hey, the songs are pretty catchy, though. I even do workout routines to their songs because it's the only way I can work out with my kids awake!!! That's sad, I know.
