At first, I thought she may be cutting a tooth. But 5 days seems like a long time! She's also been saying her tummy hurts, but isn't throwing up or having any other problems. I can't get her in to see a doctor until tomorrow. Tylenol and Advil have kept the fever broken, but it always comes back. I'm getting worried!

My son has never been in daycare or anythink like this. I've always been a stay at home mom, and he's an only child. My friends bring their kids over and he'll play with them, but if he doens't know other kids that he's around, he shys back, and won't get near them. I was thinking about putting him in preschool a couple or few days a week, do you think it will help, or the teacher won't understand and it will make him more insecure? Do they have preschool where you only go half a day? Any advice?

My kid age is 16 months. He only watches advertisement clips on TV. he doesn't watch cartoon or other things. he recognises advertisement easily and stops playing other things or even he becomes angry if i change the tv channel.

i just wonder if somebody had experienced similar happenings. it's my first child and just i'm curious.

i think it should be. i am offended when i see little boys in the ladies room (with the exception of infants.) i sometimes get confused and think im in the wrong roomand then realize its just a rood woman who forced this child to follow her into the restroom. do fathers do that whith their daughters too, i never had to go with my dad but my brother had to go with my mom all the time, i think it would be worse to bring a girl in the mens room sence men dont use stalls though.

My son is 6 months old. We took him to the doctor yesterday and she said that he had something like RSV.....she put him on breathing treatments. She said that if he started acting different, running a fever, or not eating right call her. Today he wouldn't play around as usual and he's been crying a lot! He was fine earlier----it just happened all of a sudden. At about 7, he started running a fever of 101 and I gave him some tylenol and it went down alittle and I called the doctor.....she said not to worry........but I am.......any suggestions?

1. my daughter is 20 month old and she's still not walking i mean she takes some 10-12 steps on her own but she's not walking perfectly.
2. she misses her grandparenst and her friends a lot here so i try distracting her by taking her to a park or chucky cheese can u guys suggest some other place where i can take her so that she can like her stay here she really feels lonely though i try spending most of my time with her.
3 here in the US a ped said when she turns her neck its very funny how she does, never in india any doctor complained of that and even i never saw that.
4 she just weights 19 pounds for a 20 month old baby she eats a healthy diet and i have no complains on she's not eating or anything its just that she's not putting on weight.
5 n last i still breastfeed her and her ped in US is absolutely against breastfeeding she says i should stop that immediately but i'm not sure as in India her ped says you should feed till the baby is 2. i do give her whole milk too.

I have a 4 yr old son who has been potty trained since he was 2. I also have a 2 yr old in the house that is watching and doing everything my oldest is doing. My husband is in the military and currently deployed and since he left my son started peeing all over the house. I'm tired of popping his butt/legs everytime he does it. How do I get my 4 yr old to start using the toilet again? Any advice or tips would be grateful. Thank you.

I took my son to his 4-year old check-up and shots. Now, what am concern about is that he isn't walking normal, but he says that he doesn't feel any pain. He had the shots on his legs, would that be the reason? or should i take him back to get him check again? Is this a side-effect from the shots? Somebody tell me something plzzzzz... thanx.

I was at the park today and basically sat on a bench so I can watch my son play. He was having a good time getting excercise playing with the other kids and on the playground equipment. Another mom sat next to me and we watched our kids play.
Then it dawned on me, why can't city parks have stationary bikes? Of course they would have to be engineered to be idiot proofed. What do you think of this?
(yes I realize that we could always get a bike and ride it with the kid, but some people don't feel safe on a bike riding through the city)

What kind of parent are you when it comes to handling disobedience. Do you give your child three chances to stop their misbehavior, or do you demand your child listen to you on the first time, or something else?

Me, My child MUST listen on the first time, if not, they immediately go to timeout. I just don't see what purpose counting to three does, other than teach your child to ignore you for a little while longer.

My fiance and I use to just eat frozen pizza's and stuff like that, but now that our daughter is eating solids we want to eat good healthy foods and set a good example for her. My only problem is that I really don't know how to shop for food at all. We have a small buget and 3 people to feed. So I was just wondering how all the other mom's and dad's do it.
