Toddler & Preschooler - October 2006

Hi, Whenever my son is naked (bathtime, using toilet ect.) he plays with himself (well sort of anyway). During the warmer weather he has been just wearing his shorts (or boxers in the house). When he wears his boxers only he puts his fingers in the hole all of the time

My 15 month old has started to become very difficult to feed. She used to eat really well but the last few weeks she hardly eats anything at mealtimes. I know this is kinda normal as most toddlers would rather be playing than eating but i have started to notice her belly is looking distended. Anyone else experienced this and do you think the two are related?

Is it normal for him to be throwing such fits?
Like he'll freak out when i'll tell him no about something.He'll scream,kick,throw things,bite,hit,try to pull my hair.I really don't know what to do.I've tried everything.I don't know what to do.And it's like he'll purposly get into things I tell him not to.Help?

My son James is fully potty trained, but when outdoors (wherever he is!), he will simply whip down his pants & go. This I'm afraid my be our fault as at times we have let him go outdoors.
A friend suggested that we put him in pants instead of his boxers - will this work, or any other ideas?

my 17months old son screams at the top of his lungs as if someone is turturing him or something, he does that in public and at home. He screams so his veins pops out, I'm seriously worried. Also he pulls little girls hair and sometimes just hold their hair and scream, whenever I try to ask him to stop, he would turn around and hit me.last night my father took him outside that house with him just for a quick minute, he didn't want to come in anymore and started screaming like a maniac, my father was so embarrassed and came in to tell me that his is worried that he might pull something while screaming and people would think somebody did something to him, and he said I'm never gonna take him with me and that I need to teach him to STOP that.. Please help me!

Hi, has anyone a solution before we have to send the cat to a rescue centre? he has always been jealous of her, hitting her, etc. and she never hits back, we got her 2 years ago when he was 1. Last week he covered her with gloss paint which nearly killed her and cost us £171 vet fees! He just seems to hate her. How can I make him feel better towards her?
