My two year old daughter alway's watche Polar Exspress or Bambi 24/7 no other movies it's been this way for the past month. I know she likes trains and I tried to get her to watch Thamos but she rather not and with Bambi I don't get. I'm not complaining about her choice of movies for quiet time but if I try playing something different she won't sit down to watch it. I'm not concerned but wondering if she will grow out of it. She's the ultimate tom boy at two rather play with swords and fight and cars and trains she's not into the girly stuff.

I have a three year old who has been trained to pee in the toilet. She does very well. However, getting her to go poop is another story. She constantly soils her underwear. She rarely goes poop on the toilet. Does anyone have any ideas on how we might be able to get her poop trained too? Any advice would be appreciated.

Its been 2 years since I have had a friend apart from my sister in law or hubby. I'm a stay at home mom of a 17 month old and I am pretty busy but I would like to make some friends who have kids my sons age. I'm really shy and I'm nervous about going out to meet new people because its been so long. My husband tries to get me to be friends with his friends wives but none of them have kids and they still drink and stuff. I'm scared to meet new people because I don't know what I would talk about apart from my son. I don't go out all that much. I'd really like to go out sometimes and do stuff with a friend my own age who has kids. Any suggestions?

My son keeps making this annoying sound its kind of like a uuuuuuuhhhhhhh sound and he does it all the time everyday. I think that he does it when he wants attention or is bored. Obviously I can't entertain him all of the time so what can I do to make him stop this noise. I tried punishment but it doesn't seem to work. Any one elses kid do this? My son is 17months old. How can I stop him from doing this? it drives me nuts!

My daughter is 22 months old and she got a runny nose and a very low grade fever. Typical cold. She's eating good, playing hard and is happy otherwise. I don't want to give her any medicines, just may be some ideas of what can be done at home? Except for humidifiers, we're in Texas, we have enough humidity here.

My daughter is 2yrs and 4 days old. She tells me when she has gone #2 in her diaper almost imediately after she has done so. Then she insists on sitting on the potty (after I put you know what in the toilet). She sits there and does nothing. What pointers can anyone give me? I think she is on her way but I am not sure if I am helping or hurting her progress.

It is the only room she does it in and she is potty trained, and has been since she was 14 months old. But recently she has started urinating in my bedroom floor. She has to walk PAST the bathroom to get to my room, so I don't know why she doesn't stop at the bathroom. Please if you have any advice it will be greatly appreciated. I am willing to do just about anything.

My toddler was puking a lot a week ago. it was the flu, me and my in-laws got it too. My toddler and i are alone seeing my husband's family in Bulgaria and the doctors prescribe medicines i've never heard of. no one asks me if it's okay to give it to her...i don't understand the language. her illness has progressed, she has a fever of 101.4, doctor came again, said she no longer has the flu, now she has "angina". they want to put her on antibiotics and other things. What can i do for my baby? homeopathically speaking?

I have an 11 month old son. He cruises around all of the furniture but can't walk yet without holding on to something for balance. He does, however, climb up ALL OF THE FURNITURE. Has anyone else had this happen with their child? I guess my mistake was allowing it to happen the first time. Now he expects to be able to do it all the time. I let him do it when I am standing right beside him, but now of course he does it when I am doing other stuff...so I see that I have made a mistake. Any experiences with this?

My 14 month old son is pooping constantly...about 4-8 poops diapers a day when we were used to 1, maybe 2, a day. They are very soft in consistency (sorry), and maybe 1 out of 10 times it'll be obvious diarrhea. He gets horrible diaper rash off and on b/c of this. His pedi said that he either has a persistent intestinal virus or he has this unexplained Todders Diarrhea. She took him off of all dairy and I haven't noticed much of a difference. We're on week 3 of this poop saga. Please, help, if you've experienced this before. Thanks in advance.

It's about starting days in kindergarden. He is almost 4, and before we go he becomes very serious, once or twice will say that he doesn't want to go to kindergarden very worried, goes to the toilet for 3 times at least before we go, he is acting as he's going to a life-depending math exam. He said to me today: "I'm afraid." He is screaming when I'm leaving the kindergarden. There is another way for him to spend at least the morning, but I thought that kindergarden will prepare him for school. Also, he has a tough character by birth, and it was not suitable to take him to kindergarden earlier - when he was 2 or 3. I talk to him very comforting, but his anxiety is the same. Today is the fourth day.

So, I was with my daughter, (she's 2), in Target the other day. There was a woman there with her daughter who looked to be the same age as mine. However, this other little girl was standing in the shopping cart, SCREAMING! The mom was quietly telling this girl to hush. The toddler was just pitching a fit and the mother did nothing to stop it. I could still hear her when we went to the back of the store and they were at the cash registers. My question is this...why doesn't anyone punish children anymore? I don't mean spanking the child in the middle of the store, but taking them to the car or something. My child NEVER behaves this way. She knows it's not appropriate to behave that way in public. I simply used the rule of 3 method....one: you are told to quit. Two: you get a warning, three: if I have to tell you to stop three times, I spank her bottom. The most I ever have to do now is tell her twice. Usually a look will do. Am I the only one that feels this way?
