My two year old daughter alway's watche Polar Exspress or Bambi 24/7 no other movies it's been this way for the past month. I know she likes trains and I tried to get her to watch Thamos but she rather not and with Bambi I don't get. I'm not complaining about her choice of movies for quiet time but if I try playing something different she won't sit down to watch it. I'm not concerned but wondering if she will grow out of it. She's the ultimate tom boy at two rather play with swords and fight and cars and trains she's not into the girly stuff.

I watched the Little Mermaid continuously till I was almost 10. Then after that it was the Lion King 1 AND 2 all the time. Most kids just have their favorites. I watched a girlie movie and was still a tomboy till I hit highschool. If you are still worried, try gearing her other pasttimes to more girlish things. Dance is one idea or possibly theatre. Maybe its just my passsion for the Arts, but really dressing up for performances and receiving compliments on how I looked started making my want to dress up more. If that doesn't work, try putting her in some form of martial arts. Women when kicking butt still retain a lot of femininity. It will give her confidence in her strength, and then maybe the girlie side will show. Who knows? Good luck!

Kids go through stages like this every few months . You will get tired of watching whatever movie she becomes interested in at the time . Just keep playing other things to give her a choice but until she moves on to a new movies just enjoy the ones she is watching. Role playing is normal also ,she must have an good imagination.

Kids that age often will watch the same movie over and over again and then they will move on. She is only 2..to call her a tomboy now is premature. MANY 2 year old girls are still not interested in the "girly" things. My daughter liked cars until she was 6!

Yeah that's normal. My son is engrossed with Lazy Town, Wow, Wow, Wuzzby and Baby Einstein...for now. A month or so ago it was Pinky Dinky Doo, Lazy Town and Baby Einstein. 2 was about the age he became particular and he's 2 1/2 now. They are becoming little people with favorites. Just make sure the TV isn't the only thing she will do...do art projects, stack and count blocks, etc. Baby Einstein is a wonder worker, my son is talking like crazy and using some sign language.

my two year old girl is addicted to that Spirt: stallion of the cinnamiron movie. It is perfectly normal for them to be addicted to a certin movie and form into tomboys at this age. It is something they will grow out of eventually when they hit pre-k or kindergarten. If you ar really concerned try getting like those barbie cars that we all grew up with. Let her have her tomboy stuff but with a girly twist, that will get her to be strong yet girly at a faster pace. hope this helps.

It is perfectly normal. My daughter went through a stage where she didn't want to watch anything but Barbie 24/7 She now likes all kinds of different movies. Your daughter will definitely grow out of it.

Yes, it's normal, kids get into something for a while, then it may change (I mean her choice of movies). There are kids who will watch the same movie over and over again! Just let her go with whatever she is interested in. I don't see any harm in it.

most little girls are into boy toys- there more fun.they roll and most of all forbidden pleasure.
it is rare for a girl to run with girls..i was always a tom-boy..
couldn't ware a dress to jump off things..
movie thing normal soon she'll move on to another movie to watch 369 times or more..
in the end don't worry she may grow out of it if not blame dad for making her tough.

this is not bad. it could just be a "stage" she's going threw. all kids have their own thing.( swords, cars, fighting, ect.) show her the girls in these things. and how blah, blah, blah they can/or do in that field. take adventage of "Take Your Daughter To Work" Day. This time around my husband's taking our daught to see how to be a helio. mech. If what you do is not on her fave list of what to be, go to the library, when you can, or go on the internet and show her the "GOOD" & "BAD" stuff of her interests . It might be an unusal moment or two but it might be good.
