And I'm living In a two bedroom home my two year old sleeps in her own (toddler) bed and she sleeps in our room her bed is close to our bed. I've been thinking about moving her into the other room tonight should I do it? The other room only has a couple of dressers in it and I've been dreaming about the day that the room will be hers.Plus we have another baby that sleeps right by my side of the bed because I'm breastfeeding at night. She's very jealous of the baby. I'm afraid that she's not ready to sleep in a room by herself since she does have nightmares(which are normal for a child her age). Should I put her in the other room to sleep? Should I do it gradually? I've searched the internet and found nothing that can help. Please give me a few tips about what I should do. Only serious answers,no harsh comments, because there's nothing wrong about asking......

My fiance and I both come from a backround of abuse and neglect. We have never hurt our daughter in any way shape or form and we are strongly against abuse. We have a hard time playing with her because we don't have any experince with children and we want to give her evrything we didn't have growing up. What are some fun easy games for us to play with her. The 2's and up are so easy and we can't wait for them to come. But the 1's seem so what do we do? Can anyone give us some tips on any good fun games for a one year old to play?

Okay, I have a younger brother who is four. He has issues! He still poops and pees in his pull ups, when he's suppose to be wearing "big boy underwear" and he is soo annoying!
And so, its 1:11 am and my parents are sleeping. They're so tired and worn out, I will do anything to keep them asleep. My brothers room is right next to theirs, so he has to be quiet! My room is across the hall. I've gotten him food (carrots and celery, heavens know I would slit my throat if he was up even longer hyped up on sugar) and that still won't work! He can only watch kid friendly channels, and 'Boy Meets World' is on Disney and the shows on Digital Cable he doesn't like. Everytime I tell him to go to his room or, on my meaner side "shut the **** up", he won't do it. He just says that annoying as hell, "no" and then acts all innocent.
I think this is bullshit. I'd do anything fory mom and step dad, but keeping my brother occupied, quiet and obedient has been quite challenging! PLEASE help me!

Hi we have a 14m/o and miss having a dog around. I have been doing a lot of research on the subject and know most dogs are great with kids as long as they are socialized with them. We had two (a chihuahua and a pitbull what a pair :) I had a lot of comlications during my pregnancy so my mom took my guys in and now they are all so attached that we decided they should stay over there. My daughter loves to go and see the puppies as often as we can. I always had a dog when I was growing up and want my daughter to experience that also. Just curious about anyones personal experiences on this subject. Thanks to everyone who answers seriously!

Hi, I have a 141/2 month old little girl. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for some different snacks or meals? It seems as if I fix her the same few things. She isnt really a picky eater we seem to eat a lot of chicken nuggets, she loves broccoli, and bananas. TI seems like we just eat the standards: gram crackers, yogurt, grilled cheeses etc. What do ya'll feed your kids? I dont have a lot of time to fix home cooked meals all the time (who does right)! Thanks for any ideas that you come up with.

My son is 3 1/2 and recently got new bunkbeds in his room. His toddler bed was small and cozy. Now he has 2 big beds in his room. He does not like sleeping alone in his room anymore. (he has been doing that since he was 6 months old) We started a sticker calendar to reward him when he slept all night in his bed, but he still begs us to sleep with him. Any suggestions?

We've been listening to Baby Einstein CDs since my son was born and I'd like to get him some music with lyrics now that he is talking. Any suggestions for teaching and learing of colors, shapes, etc. or just fun and silly songs? My son is 20 months old. He loves cars and trucks, animals and playing in his sandbox.

My daughter is 4 1/2 years old and is extremely bright. She just started Pre-k and has never been to daycare or anytype of school before. She has known her ABC's and how to count from 1-50 for a while now. She comes home from school and I have to buy her extra activity books (which she finishes in one sitting) because she wants to keep learning even after school is done. At what age can children be tested for placement in accelerated "gifted" programs. She needs something that will challenge her more.

In less than a month my husband and I are driving from nyc to Disney world with my 4 year old twin boys. Driving was a better option for us than flying for many reasons but I am getting scared as the day approaches. They frequently ride in the car for 3 hours at a time. Any sensible advice would be appreciated.

what do you think of the "leashes" you can buy for your toddler? it's more of a harness type thing, they sell them at wal-mart and they have elmo, or other cute characters on them. they seem like kind of a good idea for crazy 2 or 3 year olds that aren't the best at staying by your side in busy places, but on the other hand, it also seems a little bit inhumane. what do you think?
