Oh wow, I'm having the same situation with my 3 yr old too and he is starting head start next week and is in the middle of being potty trained... head start doesnt have much of a problem with a child that is in middle of potty training since it's a state funded program they dont have alot of guidelines that they have to follow like preschool does so they can and usual will always let a child that is in the middle of potty training come to head start...So I am sure that in your state that your child will be allowed.... head start teachers are pretty understanding and will work with the parent and thier needs....I know I will have head start jitters on the first day so if you are, know that you are not alone, lol....

With our first son we had him potty train when he was 3. He was still using Pull Ups until he was 10.
Our last child we didn't potty train until he was going on 5. He didn't use Pull Ups very long. Just ONLY at night. He was out of them by the time he was 6.
I think with boys it all depends on the child. Some have larger bladders that can hold more, other children can't.

Head Start services children with disabilities as well as children who are typically developing, so technically, they cannot require that all children are potty trained before entry- that would be discrimination. However, they may have different requirements for children who do not have a medical or mental condition that would inhibit their potty training, so your safest bet is to call and talk to the Head Start center your child will be attending and ask.

Our head start says the child has to be potty trained. I do know though, that they will take a child who is doing his/her best to be dry. They will take extra steps to make sure when a child has been playing for a while they get the reminder. My son was 3 when he started head start for a half day. I sent extra clothes with him and pull ups. It worked out well. Good luck and congratulations to your big boy or girl going to school already!!! Nana

i began out potty education my twin women at 18 months and that they have been given the draw close of it around 22 months. of direction there have been nonetheless injuries yet they have been potty experienced. i attempted my son whilst he became 2 yet he became hopeless, so I waited until he became 2 a million/2 and he finally have been given the draw close of it around 3 years previous! he's basically grew to become 5 and he nonetheless has the strange twist of destiny. women practice lots extra undemanding than boys. Your little female could be experienced by using 2 a million/2. Why no longer try to conceive in approximately six months and potty practice her once you're pregnant? it form of feels unusual to settle in this type of vast ingredient as an age distinctive basically over potty education. it somewhat is constructive whilst little ones are close in age and it somewhat is nonetheless elementary to coach a new child once you have a new child too.

It depends on the daycare facility. They should atthe very least be willing to assist you with the training. Chances are when he gets around others, he will copy them and want to be a big boy like his new friends. All children do it in their own time. You can't force them. I have five kids. My youngest is three and a half. She still wears pullups. She on her own though is going on the potty now, and wanting to wear her big girl panties. When I tried to push it on her, she went backwards.

Here in the state of West Virginia, yes they have to be fully potty trained to start Headstart, they have to be able to wipe themselves, the teachers will not help them do it,

I don't think most 3 year old programs require this, but when he enters the 4 year old program, he must be trained.
