My son will turn one next thursday. He has gotten to the point to where when he doesn't get his way he will throw tantrums. I'm talking about lying on the floor and kicking and screaming. If hes in a better moood he will just simply hit me instead of the floor. This is getting out of control and I try to tell him this is wrong but I still live with my parents and they make him think this behavior is acceptable. I'm only 18 and don't really have my feet on the ground good enough to move out but something has to give. I've asked them to listen to me and not allow this but they do anyway. Any suggestions on what I should do?

My 4 yr-old nephew has speech problems but was put on a waiting list for pre-K. I have read a lot of posts saying that the school district would evaluate and provide resouces if necessary. My sis-in-law asked her school district and they said they didn't know what she was talking about and would research it. I was wanting to find some info for her to show them; she doesn't have a computer.

They live in Tarrant County, Arlington, Texas

Firstly, at my nephews B'day party there was a Bouncy castle, I jumped on it saying "I'm the Bouncy castle monster" my niece got frightened by this and the next time I saw her she said "You're not really a monster are you?"
Earlier this week I was looking after my two nieces and did my back in lifting the younger out of her high chair and cursed the pain.
My niece got scared by this and wouldn't look or talk to me afterwoods.
How can I get her to trust me again?

My son has to take a snack in for preschool. They are doing the letter "H" that week and it has to start with an H. What snacks are there that are easy to eat, less mess and less waste, pretty allergy safe (like no peanuts, etc) that begins with an H?
