My little boy started nursery last month, but he is still confused () because he doesnt know how to use the urinal properly. Yesterday he came home wet as he had tried to hold himself, I dont know how to help him (we live on our own), I've told him to go into the cubical but he refuses as he wants to be a 'big boy'.
Can anyone offer any advice or links to a good website on how to teach him to use one?
Lots of love.

I had a half empty/full can of beer sitting on a table beside the couch. I went to do something and when I cam eback my son had climbed onto the couch, lend down the side and gotten the can of beer. He was holding it, sitting in a pool of it and had was soaking in it. I assume he would have only had a few mouthfulls at the most as there was still some left in the can. He seems to be OK. He's walking around and seems happy. Will he have any long terms affects, brain damage or anything like that? Anyone have any similar experiences? Please help me! TIA

We went to Walmart with our daughter to let her look around in the toy section to see what she likes get ideas for her birthday. She will be turning 3. She kept going to the new Baby Alive doll and that thing is $50.00 bucks, my husband can't see buying her this and to some point neither can I. But she loves this doll and she is not one for dolls. I am just wondering what all of your opinion on buying a three year old a $50 dollar toy doll. I probably won't get if for her but she is just so intreged by this doll.

I babysit a 5 years old boy who cries over taking a shower and brushing his teeth every single day. He would rather stand and cry in the bathroom for over an hour than take a shower and/or brush his teeth. In fact, I brush his teeth for him everyday but he still refueses. I explained to him the consequences of not bathing and getting his teeth brushed. Occasionally he accepts it, but what can I do to make him like shower and getting his teeth brush? I do not have a bath tub to bathe him, so he showers.

The dr. has prescribed all kinds of RX allergy medicine for him, all of witch I do not like the effects they have on him. Most of them make him feel worse (it seems) or so irratable and contrary no one can deal with him, or knock him out cold and that scares me! Could there be any long term effects on him?

My son is turning 3 years old in December, and I need some ideas for the theme. Since it's a winter party, it's hard to think of anywhere, and it can't be at my house, b/c we're moving, and not Chucky Cheese. He loves Curious George, but I want it creative.

Once it gets dark, my daughter is attached to my hip. She even follows me to the bathroom. She's afraid to be alone and I try explaining to her that she's safe and there's nothing there to hurt her,but she doesn't buy it. How do I help her to overcome her fears of night time? Would can I say to her to convince her that she's safe?

there seem to be so many children, but I doubt very few would ever admit to it. I have even read up on a case whereby a 12 year old girl went to a baby store to buy a pack of baby towelling nappies to wear herself !

I wonder what's the cause ?

Is this normal for his age? He just turned 3 on August 5th. He has to be awakened every night to go potty. He wets himself almost everyday in daycare, and at home during the night. Should I be worried? How can I reduce this? I don't give him fluids after 8pm and he still wets himself. Please, anybody, HELP!

I know it's early to think about this but I'm expecting again very close to Christmas so I'm planning ahead. We don't have alot of money but I don't want to buy them any junky dollar store kinds of toys and they have tons of toys. I do want to buy them a few things that are not too expensive, perhaps educational or that make more sense than a bunch of junky stuff or that would not just become another toy sitting in their toybox. My son is 18 months and my daughter is 3. I've got plenty of stocking stuffer ideas. It's also so much easier to buy online - any great ideas and web links?

I just want to know what in the hell I am doing wrong as a mom. My son is aggressive, and borderline bully. Teachers and principles tell me to take him to counseling because he has a lot of anger and frustration. What did I do wrong to my poor child? I tell him I love him every day (50 times a day), I play with him, talk with him and anyhow, anyone with ideas, even if I dont like your answer I do appreciate all honest and decent answers.

Kids are supposed to have like 6 servings of Veggies and fruit a day, but since you have to cook veggies and buy them fresh often it is pretty hard to get them into my daughters diet. Does anybody have good ideas on getting more veggies into my daughters diet? (ps, the freeze dried veggies are pretty good, but she can only eat so much of that)

My daughter started school last month, and ever since then, she has said some very rude words. At first it was words such as "your such a dummy" or "you are a dork", I have tried talking to her, but she won't stop. In fact, it has gotten worse. She's now swearing, and calling her teacher stupid. Her teacher and I have spoken about this several times, and we can't seem to get my daughter to stop. I am worrying that she will say that to the wrong person, and will get hit or pushed. Can anybody tell me what to say to her and how to get her to stop?

Okay. my two year old daughter is very sweet most of the time. The exception is in the morning. She wakes up in a good mood and seems fine, but as soon as she realizes it is time to get ready to leave the house she flips. She screams and cries, kicks and rolls. How do I change her attitude towards getting ready? Sometimes I have to wait until she is in her car seat so I can safely put her shoes on.
